I totally forgot about the juju. If DeJong can find a spark, that would give us a nice 1-2 punch in the 7-8 hole.
Following today’s game and an off day, the Redbirds play 17/23 At home in 27 days. The only 6 away games are 3 at KC and 3 at Pitt. In fact in our next 27 games, only the Crew have an above 500 record. This may change when we play the Braves next week. The next 21/27 include 10 against the Bucs and 11 against the bottom 3 in the AL central. August schedule at least on paper will be our best chance to make a late run. It gets a little harder in September. Given the schedule for August and where we’re at now, I feel a minimum of 21 wins by the time we play the reds at the end of the month is what’s needed for us to have any chance at this.

Carlson.I know Edman has struggled by I still like him at leadoff over Carlson. I think he set it up better for the big bats.

Nice to see when the big bats aren’t producing, it’s the small bats and timely hitting that produce the win. And definitely a nice outing by Waino.
Good win. Bader had the big night but in my opinion, Carp had the big hit. I have to give him something. At it tomorrow with KK on the mound.
Nice AB. Close pitches to take but the consistency of the ump all night allowed him to be a little more selective.
Good AB by Rondon. Most young players would have been eager to make something happen but he was patient and got the walk. Can Paul D hit 2 homers in a game ?
