Thanks Derek…kid has been working hard to get back and better👍
Is a condition of protecting a player at Trple A mean at some point he has to play at Triple A the following season for at least 30 days? Please forgive my lack of clarity.
Pretty comprehensive and I got a lot of information I was looking for. Now how many have to play at Triple A for at least 30 days that are in Springfield or Palm Beach…
Basically it seems he is at or around 25 pitches per outing, was kinda wondering out loud is this his role moving forward or will they try to move him to a longer relief role. No complaints though😂, just excited to see him getting stronger considering the severity of the injury
When are they going to increase Ronnie Williams pitch count, I know they are being cautious but…
He topped out at 97 less than a year after TJ. Plenty of movement and a downright nasty 2 seamer. Right now he has pitched ever other night…arm is getting stronger each day
Not to mention as you stated earlier…there is a logjam of pitchers in AA and AAA. Also protecting some of these pitchers on the AA/AAA rosters during Rule 5 was done in such a manner that you will be seeing a lot of movement between AA/AAA because of the way that the Cardinals used to protect their pitching prospects who were Rule 5 eligible.
It is a very fascinating practice to the point where I don’t necessarily know where players are now but you know where they have to be by the end of the year. Additionally, as we recognized in the last two seasons…things happen and the pitching moves this year have allowed the Cards more flexibility moving forward.
Yes he is staying in Palm Beach to finish his rehab. He is getting better daily

Just got to Springfield, we will see…
Gotcha although I believe his sitting at 93-94 will be enough if he develops his other 3 pitches including a curveball that is developing
velocity spike???? What’s he sitting at now???
Spot start…
Just testing the limits…checking out his versatility. I knew when they pulled him at 3 and 2/3 that when he hit the 50 pitch count, being able to use him every 2-3 days makes him more valuable at this point provided he can maintain consistency
One thing that the Cardinals do believe that right now Jordan has the most electrifying stuff in baseball, and frankly they are just trying not to blow it ?
I think that for longevity purposes, JH’s stuff lends to a closer role however the Cardinals seem very intentional about identifying roles for the young guns asap. I’m looking for Weaver, Flatherty, Reyes as top line starters…and Woolford, Fernandez, and Williams in set up roles, and Hicks as the closer in my own fantasy world by 2020
Was sworn to secrecy til now…tried with no success to send you a PM…
Got my question answered from an incredible source…
Ronnie Williams Peoria or Palm Beach? Starter or Reliever?
Ronnie Williams to Palm Beach???
