I’m not crazy about the B&W, but it’s nice to be spared every numerical graphic under the sun and that silly strike zone box while watching a game. Give me the count, score and number of outs and I’m a happy viewer.

I’m expecting a Tang commercial in between innings.

I liked watching the double play from this angle. You got to see the ball the whole way. But I hate watching the pitcher pitch. You have no idea how close the strikes are.

Walker just hit a monster home run for Memphis. It was good to see him really get one.

Is Fermin really a better hitter than Carpenter? Even with the handedness matchup?

Donovan the proverbial “triple shy of the cycle.”

There is probably not enough difference to matter.

Yeah, I thought it was a little early to play match-up there as most likely next time through the Giants will have a righty going.

If he were to get regular playing time, probably.

But again, it’s hard to hit well when you get a few ABs per week.

Right now with a game on the line I’d feel better with Carpenter standing in than Fermin. At least Matt was once upon a time…

Hence is at the game and is doing good health wise it sounds like. I’m also glad to hear Chase Davis is at the game today as I saw him not in the lineup 2 straight days and was worried he was hurt. That is nice to see MLB to let some of the minors kids come to the game today.

The thing I think is crazy is those micro stats they put up, like “Batting .225 with two strikes and bases empty (MLB average .195)”. Just give me the guy’s overall high level stat line, not all this micro stat stuff.

I think Pallante has reached his expiration date…..be careful here.

Yeah, it’s over the top, Bikemike. I’m surprised they don’t flash his cholesterol level after enjoying a porterhouse as opposed to fasting…

Speaking of Davis, sounds like he is coming on some and starting to hit. Looked like a bust, but maybe he is getting acclimated.

Kitty on kind of early. And it is 6-4. Another hit – Kitty not fooling anyone.

Pallante was ok tonight. That homer off him was weird. It didn’t look like a homer off the bat. Unfortunately, that scored 3. I wouldn’t call him sharp, but he was good enough for a 5th pitcher. He’s probably close to that level now, which is good to finally have someone who can backup Matz. Matz is always hurt.

Siani is a freak of nature defensively.

Yeah he is. I thought for sure that ball was going to get by him for multiple bases.

Yeah, Matz is always hurt and when he’s not hurt he’s getting torched. I gave up on him more than a few days ago.
