I’m not crazy about the B&W, but it’s nice to be spared every numerical graphic under the sun and that silly strike zone box while watching a game. Give me the count, score and number of outs and I’m a happy viewer.
June 20, 2024 at 8:02 pm #257160I’m expecting a Tang commercial in between innings.
June 20, 2024 at 8:02 pm #257161I liked watching the double play from this angle. You got to see the ball the whole way. But I hate watching the pitcher pitch. You have no idea how close the strikes are.
June 20, 2024 at 8:03 pm #257162Haha…Good one, Pugs!
June 20, 2024 at 8:09 pm #257163Walker just hit a monster home run for Memphis. It was good to see him really get one.
June 20, 2024 at 8:14 pm #257164Really good game by Donovan so far
June 20, 2024 at 8:14 pm #257165Donny having himself an evening…..6-3 Good Guys and they’re looking for more.
June 20, 2024 at 8:16 pm #257166Is Fermin really a better hitter than Carpenter? Even with the handedness matchup?
June 20, 2024 at 8:18 pm #257167Donovan the proverbial “triple shy of the cycle.”
June 20, 2024 at 8:18 pm #257168There is probably not enough difference to matter.
June 20, 2024 at 8:19 pm #257169“Is Fermin really a better hitter than Carpenter? Even with the handedness matchup?”
Yeah, I thought it was a little early to play match-up there as most likely next time through the Giants will have a righty going.
June 20, 2024 at 8:20 pm #257170Is Fermin really a better hitter than Carpenter? Even with the handedness matchup?
If he were to get regular playing time, probably.
But again, it’s hard to hit well when you get a few ABs per week.
June 20, 2024 at 8:21 pm #257171Right now with a game on the line I’d feel better with Carpenter standing in than Fermin. At least Matt was once upon a time…
June 20, 2024 at 8:22 pm #257172Hence is at the game and is doing good health wise it sounds like. I’m also glad to hear Chase Davis is at the game today as I saw him not in the lineup 2 straight days and was worried he was hurt. That is nice to see MLB to let some of the minors kids come to the game today.
June 20, 2024 at 8:24 pm #257173“Give me the count, score and number of outs and I’m a happy viewer”
The thing I think is crazy is those micro stats they put up, like “Batting .225 with two strikes and bases empty (MLB average .195)”. Just give me the guy’s overall high level stat line, not all this micro stat stuff.
June 20, 2024 at 8:25 pm #257174I think Pallante has reached his expiration date…..be careful here.
June 20, 2024 at 8:28 pm #257175Yeah, it’s over the top, Bikemike. I’m surprised they don’t flash his cholesterol level after enjoying a porterhouse as opposed to fasting…
June 20, 2024 at 8:29 pm #257176Speaking of Davis, sounds like he is coming on some and starting to hit. Looked like a bust, but maybe he is getting acclimated.
June 20, 2024 at 8:31 pm #257177Kitty on kind of early. And it is 6-4. Another hit – Kitty not fooling anyone.
June 20, 2024 at 8:31 pm #257178Pallante was ok tonight. That homer off him was weird. It didn’t look like a homer off the bat. Unfortunately, that scored 3. I wouldn’t call him sharp, but he was good enough for a 5th pitcher. He’s probably close to that level now, which is good to finally have someone who can backup Matz. Matz is always hurt.
June 20, 2024 at 8:32 pm #257179Siani is a freak of nature defensively.
June 20, 2024 at 8:32 pm #257180Well, now Pallante has allowed 4.
June 20, 2024 at 8:33 pm #257181Yeah he is. I thought for sure that ball was going to get by him for multiple bases.
June 20, 2024 at 8:33 pm #257182
jj-cf-stlParticipantO my. That’s some top shelf CF D right there.
June 20, 2024 at 8:34 pm #257183Yeah, Matz is always hurt and when he’s not hurt he’s getting torched. I gave up on him more than a few days ago.
