Burleson starting to remind me a little of a young Jon Kruk with the Phillies!

Cardinal bats produce 15 all important hits tonight and I’d have to say the 2 out game tying RBI single from Carpenter was the most important.

Yeah. That was some veteran leadership!

Really big 2 out hit. I thought they had Burleson at HP, but he snuck in there.

Plenty of Game Ball candidates in this one……Donovan, Goldy, Burly, Winn, Carp for his huge 8th inning hit……but I think I’m tossing the Game Ball to an unsung hero in all of this……Kitty……what a huge K by Kitty in the 7th or this game could have got totally out of hand.

Yeah, the K with baserunners at 2nd and 3rd with 1 out after the Cubs had already taken a 4-3 lead was about the only way to escape that inning without really getting skint-up.

This home-stand is shaping up rather nicely at 6-1 with one game to go. Huge game tomorrow…..Sonny needs to totally shut these guys down.

Going to have to disagree on Kitty.

He came into a tie game, left with a one-run deficit, and Romero had to finish the inning.

I’ll second the motion for our veteran leader with his clutch hit off the bench.

That was clearly the greatest slide into home plate in the history of little, junior high, high school, college, independent, minor, and major league baseball and will never be duplicated again.

I tuned in last night just in time to see Helsley get smacked around in the 9th. Thankfully we held on! Two of those flyball outs would have been HR’s at Wrigley.
