Maybe Burly is better off not hitting the ball so hard. lol
May 12, 2024 at 2:29 pm #251984Marmol should have kicked him in the nutts. If rounds have caused shriveling that would be the proof.
May 12, 2024 at 2:29 pm #251985About time Goldschmidt got ahold of one.
May 12, 2024 at 2:29 pm #251986Yeah to me one of the worst parts of his year so far is that he was borderline HoF beforehand, and such a bad year may not let him get in. He has had a deserving career to get in in my opinion.
May 12, 2024 at 2:29 pm #251987We seem to only hit homers with the bases empty.
May 12, 2024 at 2:31 pm #251989Unless Danny D also got tossed I think the bench coach usually takes over when the manager gets ejected.
May 12, 2024 at 2:33 pm #251990Goldy’s lifetime WAR is right at where Todd Helton is, and Helton got in. Goldy is unlikely to add much to his number, and is in negative territory this year. If he can even add a couple of points to that and avoid the negative stigma of a late career collapse he should eventually make it in.

I believe he did get ejected as well.
May 12, 2024 at 2:34 pm #251992Yes, DD also gone.
May 12, 2024 at 2:35 pm #251993Thanks Texas. I don’t know who is in charge then. It should be Stubby but knowing the Cards it is probably Blake.
May 12, 2024 at 2:36 pm #251994Hitting coach Turner Ward is managing the team for the rest of the game.
May 12, 2024 at 2:37 pm #251995Hitting coach Turner Ward is managing the team for the rest of the game.
Well that makes sense since half of our team is hitting under .200.
May 12, 2024 at 2:37 pm #251996Right lol
May 12, 2024 at 2:38 pm #251997William Contreras has obviously sold his soul to the devil – everything he hits sneaks through the infield or finds grass.
May 12, 2024 at 2:38 pm #251998Fifth innings an Mikolas is done. Right on schedule.
Lol reverse jinx on myself.
May 12, 2024 at 2:40 pm #251999With Ward’s influence, maybe he should be our pitching coach. He seems to be better at understanding how to get hitters out than getting them to hit.

jj-cf-stlParticipantThat stroke to LF is key for Siani
May 12, 2024 at 2:45 pm #252001Is what Siani is right now about what we expect out of Scott, but with more BBs and less SBs? Siani’s glove has been absolutely amazing and Scott’s wasn’t as good while he was here.
May 12, 2024 at 2:47 pm #252002Well, this will be a test as to whether Goldy can turn it around.
May 12, 2024 at 2:48 pm #252003That’s hilarious bike Mike.
May 12, 2024 at 2:49 pm #252004They both bring a decent glove,Albert, but I don’t think either one of them will ever bring the sort of bat required to be a primary CF’er in the Big Leagues. In my view, the only chance they have to stay around with any team is as a late inning defensive replacement.
May 12, 2024 at 2:49 pm #252005Signs of life in Goldschmidt!
May 12, 2024 at 2:51 pm #252006Hum, Marmol exits stage left and suddenly Goldschmidt has two hits including a homerun and two rbis. Well….
May 12, 2024 at 2:51 pm #252007Yeah he’s finally doing something. Maybe get a win today on the way out of town?
May 12, 2024 at 2:52 pm #252008Damn that needed to drop!!!
It’s just that kind of year (again).
