My gameplan would be to tell the hitters to take as many pitches as they can to get Crochet out of there as fast as possible.

Would you have left Gorman in yesterday to finish the game Albert?

Someone needs to tell Edmonds that he doesn’t have to comment on the big LF-CF gap every time. I don’t recall a single time he has mentioned it that a hitter put the ball there.

Probably, but I wouldn’t have felt very confident in him. Maybe getting another walk off would improve his confidence and he could get back on track.

I like Gorman vs lefties. They play into his pull power.

I would leave Libby in there to start the 4th. He hasn’t shown any signs of fatigue.

And another K. Low 40’s pitch count.

I had a very low confidence level in Gorman taking that last at bat yesterday. But it didn’t improve with Herrera either. So it’s weird to take out a guy you’re supposed to count on and replace him with a rookie backup catcher. That doesn’t help the confidence level of anyone.

He had 38 pitches in the extra inning game. I think I’d pull him now and keep him available as soon as possible. It looks like a B-team pen day that needs the lineup to wake up.

Libby gets a quick out vs their cleanup.

Great outing by Liberatore. I know it is the White Sox, but his stuff looked good and he was hitting his spots more than he did last year in starts.

Why was the Cardinal SP’er limited to 50 pitches?

Contreras is carrying this team offensively with a .955 OPS.

Hitters have gotten so much better at hitting low pitches in the last decade.

Three guys in our lineup are hitting above .213. That means 6 are hitting between .000 and .213.
