jj-cf-stlParticipant14 pitches to start the top of 2nd
May 5, 2024 at 1:31 pm #250816
jj-cf-stlParticipantLeadoff double scores this time
May 5, 2024 at 1:33 pm #250818
jj-cf-stlParticipantcrooked number coming up
May 5, 2024 at 1:37 pm #250819My gameplan would be to tell the hitters to take as many pitches as they can to get Crochet out of there as fast as possible.
May 5, 2024 at 1:40 pm #250820
jj-cf-stlParticipantWould you have left Gorman in yesterday to finish the game Albert?
May 5, 2024 at 1:40 pm #250821Someone needs to tell Edmonds that he doesn’t have to comment on the big LF-CF gap every time. I don’t recall a single time he has mentioned it that a hitter put the ball there.
May 5, 2024 at 1:41 pm #250822Would you have left Gorman in yesterday to finish the game Albert?
Probably, but I wouldn’t have felt very confident in him. Maybe getting another walk off would improve his confidence and he could get back on track.
May 5, 2024 at 1:42 pm #250823
jj-cf-stlParticipant24 pitches to start the top of 3rd
May 5, 2024 at 1:43 pm #250824
jj-cf-stlParticipantI like Gorman vs lefties. They play into his pull power.
May 5, 2024 at 1:47 pm #250826
jj-cf-stlParticipantTimely K
May 5, 2024 at 1:49 pm #250827I would leave Libby in there to start the 4th. He hasn’t shown any signs of fatigue.
May 5, 2024 at 1:49 pm #250828
jj-cf-stlParticipantAnd another K. Low 40’s pitch count.
May 5, 2024 at 1:54 pm #250829I had a very low confidence level in Gorman taking that last at bat yesterday. But it didn’t improve with Herrera either. So it’s weird to take out a guy you’re supposed to count on and replace him with a rookie backup catcher. That doesn’t help the confidence level of anyone.
May 5, 2024 at 1:55 pm #250830
jj-cf-stlParticipantHe had 38 pitches in the extra inning game. I think I’d pull him now and keep him available as soon as possible. It looks like a B-team pen day that needs the lineup to wake up.
May 5, 2024 at 2:03 pm #250831
jj-cf-stlParticipantLibby gets a quick out vs their cleanup.
May 5, 2024 at 2:04 pm #250832
jj-cf-stlParticipantLol, and that’s 50 pitches
May 5, 2024 at 2:04 pm #250833Great outing by Liberatore. I know it is the White Sox, but his stuff looked good and he was hitting his spots more than he did last year in starts.
May 5, 2024 at 2:10 pm #250835Why was the Cardinal SP’er limited to 50 pitches?
May 5, 2024 at 2:11 pm #250836
jj-cf-stlParticipantWillson ties it with a rocket out CF
1-1May 5, 2024 at 2:11 pm #250837Contreras is carrying this team offensively with a .955 OPS.
May 5, 2024 at 2:11 pm #250838Hitters have gotten so much better at hitting low pitches in the last decade.
May 5, 2024 at 2:12 pm #250839
jj-cf-stlParticipantNah, I didn’t stir the pot….
May 5, 2024 at 2:21 pm #250840
jj-cf-stlParticipant5 IP, 18 batters, 1 ER
That’ll workMay 5, 2024 at 2:21 pm #250841We’re missing Siani’s bat.
May 5, 2024 at 2:27 pm #250842Three guys in our lineup are hitting above .213. That means 6 are hitting between .000 and .213.
