    Now it flips to us…..
Speed on base and best hitters up.

Just do the crooked number thing and sweep.

Getting caught with Siani up with two outs and nobody to hit for him was a killer. We are very lucky to have survived the 10th.

Nice to take the lead, but I’d like to have that baserunner back with no outs.

Ran ourselves out of that inning

Unbelievable. You have to be able to count to 3 in this game.

I’ll be pleasantly surprised if a 1 run lead holds up.

    What a shame!

    But a hell of a game none-the-less.

Not going to win many with 4 hits in 11 innings.

Really good game. So close and yet – so far

Still, won the series and for the week clawed back from 4 games under to only 2.

What we need is a nice 10 game winning streak!

A strike away from a win, but it’s tough to beat the odds. Libby did a nice job all in all. Once again though we let too many opportunities slip away.

Once again I curse he who dreamed up this phantom runner nonsense.

And at the end of the day it will help us in September, I’ll tell you that..

Right now, Burleson looks as “dialed in” as any Cardinals hitter against RHP. Anybody disagree?

Liberatore jumped ahead to an 0-2 count on both Bader and Vientos and couldn’t put either one of them away before surrendering the game tying single followed by the walk off tater. He’s never had a consistently effective out pitch. In any event, the primary issue seems to be that the Cardinals are 27th in runs scored.

I wish we had retained Quintana after 2022, although he would not have done anything last year, and I wish we had inked Monty this year. Having those two lefties with Matz as a bullpen pitcher would be pretty darn good.

Unfortunately it would not help our anemic offense.

The Mets’ winning pitcher of decision is now 5-0 and it’s still April. He may win 20 games out of the BP…Haha!

Edit…I just checked and he’s tied for the lead in W’s.

BOCfan, why not an attempt at a relevant baseball response? Let me help you out. Do you feel Burleson should be sent down to AAA when Carlson and Edman return?

Right now, Burleson looks as “dialed in” as any Cardinals hitter against RHP. Anybody disagree?

Disagree. Nobody is “dialed in” when their OPS is below .700.

The Cardinals only have two players who are performing well at the plate – Winn & Contreras.

Do you feel Burleson should be sent down to AAA when Carlson and Edman return?

Yes. He should & will be sent to AAA when Carlson & Edman come back.

Right now they need anyone who’s capable of swinging a bat. I’d guess Siani ships out before Burleson.

I don’t know. Siani can play CF, is an excellent defender and can run the bases.

Burleson can hit slightly better than Siani, is a terrible outfielder and can’t run.

Yeah, who knows, LA? Anyone’s guess is as good as mine. I’m only going by 4 hits in 11 innings. Right now they’re starved for offense.

LACardFan, “Burleson can hit slightly better than Siani”. Are you blind? Most professional baseball scouts would get a good chuckle out of that ridiculous comment.

I get a good chuckle out of your obsession with Burleson’s hitting prowess.

So far, in the majors, he has done absolutely nothing in 458 PAs.

When Burleson can OPS above .800 in the majors, I will say he deserves to stay.

But as long as he is below .700, he deserves to be sent down to AAA to work on his swing.
