Sometimes announcers say the dumbest things. There’s 2 guys on base whom were both walked. 1 out men on 2nd and 3rd. Announcer declares he’s not worried if he walks the batter. Think about it. You want to pitch with the bases loaded with walked batters?
    Nice job Lib

BDW already proved he’s too cheap to hire Q.

Bronze busts collecting more dust. Tough pitcher, but Burly put him in play.

    Surely we’re staying w/Libby…..

Checking in now and then as we are working outside on this sunny day, after rain all day yesterday.

Saw Gallegos was up to his usual nonsense trying to give the game away, but we got out of it. Still you can bet half your savings on a Cardinal loss today. Very rare for two .500ish teams to see the road team sweep a three game series – odds are probably about 1 in 10.

If you needed someone to put the ball in play to win a game, who do you want? Goldy, Arenado, or the guy (almost) everybody had made fun of the last month?

If I’ve kept up, we have Robertson and King in the pen. I’m in no hurry to get there.

Nice job by Libby. I would play small ball here – bunt the runner over and take my chances.

Wow, Noot gets a meat ball on the first pitch and lets it go. Swings at one down and in and does the same thing as a sec bunt. That first pitch looked like one he could have hammered to left center. Then Winn Ks on a pitch in the dirt. Sheesh…Siani up an out too late.

    Maybe Siani can burn them.

I probably would have had Siani bunt there even with two outs. They had the third baseman in, but still at least the ball would likely be put in play and who knows what would happen.

Man, if I am the Mets no way I have Lindor swing away. I would have bunted for sure there.

But he accomplishes the same thing.

The bronze busts looked pretty weak.

Wow – Winn can play! Too bad he had the bad K in the top half.
