    FYI,
The Brewers placed Yelich on the IL today.

Also, did anybody see how the Cubs tied the game in the 9th inning last night at Arizona? DBacks lead 2-1, top of the 9th, two outs. Hoerner is at 2nd and another runner on 1st. A wild pitch that the catcher Moreno couldn’t find when it bounced away and Hoerner came all the way around from 2ndbase to score and tie the game 2-2 with two outs in the 9th. How lucky can you be…….

Looks like that “oxygen” pledge lasted about 10 minutes…

I’m off tomorrow so I get to watch at least part of the game. I’m kayaking early with a buddy so not too late.

Kayaking sounds great KCB! My wife got me a paddle board for my birthday last year, and last summer was my first time getting out on it. Never did get to the stand-up part – I would stay up on my knees or sit, which a lot of people do. This year I want to get out more and master standing up.

I made it through the entire game last night but did not have my cell phone handy so did not post during the action. We will see if I can stay awake through it all tonight. A lot will depend on the score. 6-1 Oakland in the fifth and I will be dozing. Turn that score around and I will be able to stay awake a couple more innings at least.

The ball sure doesn’t carry well in this park. No score after one.

Nice to see a Cards starter go 1-2-3 in the first.

We may not see a home run in this entire series as poorly as these fly balls carry. I bet they’ll carry a heck of a lot better in their new home in Sacramento. I think they are spending a couple of years in Sacramento until venturing southeast to their new permanent home in Vegas.

Cards don’t scire in the top if the 2nd.

Six up, six down. We came off the line with a thud.

A’s plate a run in the bottom of the 2nd to nab the early advantage.

Hate to see us give a lowly team an unearned run.

Winn & Walker walk to get the 3rd inning off and running……off and walking….then Siani bunts them over to 2nd & 3rd and he came within a whisker of beating the throw to 1st. A Donovan ground ball scores Winn to knot this baby up at a run apiece. Goldy whiffs, but then is awarded 1st base on catcher’s interference……boy I’ve seen a bunch of those already this year. We have to take advantage of this gift bestowed upon us…….but we do not as Contreras strikes out swinging.

Nighty nite Bling……those apricots will make you sleep like a baby. I have to get up at 5am myself…..but wild horses aren’t taking me away from what promises to be a wild game.

Could be a very prosperous evening as both Milwaukee and Pittsburgh continue their slide back to reality…..both being dealt losses. And Hendricks’ pitching woos continue as Gurriel just belted a 2 run bomb off the cub veteran to propel Arizona into a 3-1 lead in the bottom of the 3rd in the Valley of the Sun.

If we could bend time we could have this Sears guy face John Montgomery Ward.

Will be kind of strange when the Athletics move to Sacramento. You don’t think of Sacramento as a thriving sports metropolis, although they have the Kings in the NBA.

Is it possible to hit a darn home run in this park? How did Big Mac hit so many bombs here in this yard is amazing.

That guy drilled one for them last night. It was a monster shot too, off of JoJo.

Sure is strange, BicycleMike. I think Sacramento only has a population of about a half million. But it’ll be their time to shine. If their fans really support this rag-tag bunch, then that certainly would bode well for them getting a MLB franchise down the road.

I missed that bomb off JoJo last night….luckily.

Boy I’d love to see Siani jack one out of here. Wonder if he’s ever planted one in the cheap seats? I’ll have to check.

Yeah, chance for Sacramento to check out the big time. They won’t need to change the hat logo since that have the nickname on their hats and not the city.

Back in their Philadelphia days the Athletics had an “A” on their hats as well, but a single “A”, not the “apostrophe s” version. And their colors were blue and white back then.
