I am with jj in that Scott really needs to be in Memphis. I have heard Mo say before that MLB is not a developmental league because that is what the minors are for. Siani doesn’t need development time because he is what he is so he should stay in STL while Scott develops at Memphis.
I wonder why we even play Gorman. This is his 3rd year in the big leagues and still all he does is strikeout.
Oh, that’s right, I forgot. He’s got tremendous power. Maybe he should trying making contact first so he could use that prodigious power.

I agree that with Siani on the club, Scott should be in Memphis. It was fine retaining him on the big club coming out of Spring Training with Carlson going down. But it is obvious he is in over his head, and since we have Siani then the wise thing is get Victor on the farm and let him develop there. But again with Scott, he needs to bunt and/or show bunt a lot. Speed is his game and hitting balls in the air doesn’t cut it.
As for Gorman, he is still only 23, 24 in May. He is a plus defender and has tremendous potential. I have no problem with him in there as he can pick it at a key defensive position, and could very well be an all-star in a couple of years.
I think it’s obvious that the two foremost disappointments in the area of offensive production have been Gorman and Goldschmidt. If both can somehow break through at roughly the same time this offense shouldn’t have any trouble scoring plenty of runs. Conversely, if they continue to scuffle the quality of the rotation won’t allow the Cardinals to win many games.
I would add Walker to that list 1td. I know that he is very young but expectations for him have been sky high. His bat is the only reason he is on the team since his glove is still a work in progress so he needs to deliver at the plate but he really hasn’t thus far this season.
I can’t wait for Scott to start hitting at this level…..and he will hit….you can see it in him. At the start of the year I was thinking that he might be up here to stay. But he’s not ready. One year down in Memphis and I’ll bet he’ll be good to go next year. I’m picturing Scott, Winn, Edman and Noot running wild together on the base paths.

I checked in on Tyler O’neill and see that he has 7 HRs and only 8 RBIs. How does one manage that? His .167 BAwRISP probably. I noticed Gorman is also hitting .167 wRISP.
You’ve got me running on down to buy Pick 3 straight tickets with the numbers 1-6-7, Bling. I’ll get 10 tickets with the same numbers for the next 7 draws. I’ll turn that $70 into $5000 thanks to Bling, O’Neill and Gorman.

CF Mike Siani LSwitch Goldschmidt and Winn and that lineup is do-able. I was not sure Donovan would be good to go after last night. Hopefully we can figure how to return Sears’ deliveries to the damaged goods department.
Din-din here will be home baked loaded potatoes and a big tossed salad, with some ice cold water to wash it down. We used to do this kind of meal on our “Meatless Monday’s” rotation, but now just try to work in one or two vegetarian meals per week.
How in blazes do you bat Winn 7th? For the betterment of the team, I wonder if Goldy would be terribly offended with temporarily hitting 7th? Move Winn to leadoff and Donovan 2nd.
Din-din today for me was some chicken wings, a baked potato, and some blackberry cobbler. I got all of this at the cafeteria at the naval base where I worked for 31 years. I get back on base a few times a year just for the heck of it.
Then later tonight my late night snack will be some onion rings with Blossom Sauce while me and Whitey Herdog are on the couch for the Redbirds and A’s. Then a couple of 7×50 Palma Real Presidente cigars to finish out the game. And, if time permits, another episode of Mission Impossible. That has become my new late night show during the week.
Hard to say goodbye to Whitey Herzog. And it will be even harder for me to say goodbye to Whitey Herdog one of these days. Hopefully that’s a few years down the road yet.

Goldy seems like a class act. I would not be surprised if he went to the manager’s office at some point soon and said, “Hey Skip, I appreciate the respect you show me by hitting me second, but right now I am dragging down the club. Put me down in the order somewhere until I show I am worthy of being near the top. Put the kid at 2 right now – he’s playing his heart out.”
Sweet sweet din-din, Rat…….minus the huckleblackberry pie. Great go-to tv with the original Mission Impossible too. I fall asleep every night to a show. I went nighty nite to Hoosiers for over two years, seldom staying awake past the part where Coach Dale tells Jimmy that he didn’t care if he joined the team or not. I fell asleep to Hogan’s Heroes episodes for over one year, the movie About Schmidt for about 6 months and am presently in the midst of The Kominski Method episodes. Go Cards!
Dinner-Large tortilla wrap full of crunchy peanut butter and strawberry Jam. Thin lays BBQ potatoes chips. Arnold Palmer half and half. A pint of Ben and Jerry’s Half Baked for gametime. I take the lid off and throw it away.
