ParticipantI don’t know what fowler was doing. you aren’t going to tag there, should have been further off ase, shouldn’t have been that close
October 15, 2019 at 8:45 pm #111779
stlcard25ParticipantGoldy just doesn’t seem to be seeing the ball well. With that, he rips one just foul. We need a clutch hit from our star now.

stlcard25ParticipantGoldy Ks for the 3rd time today and 7th time in a town.
October 15, 2019 at 8:46 pm #111781Goldy is lost at the plate tonight.
October 15, 2019 at 8:47 pm #111782Ozuna needs to look these pitches over, swinging at everything

Participantgoldsmitdt, what are we paying you for. 7 strikeouts in a row, this one off a weakened corbin and ozuna just goes up there wild swinging, do these guys even watch the other guys hit.
October 15, 2019 at 8:48 pm #111784Cut the lead. Need to hold them here and continue to chip away.
October 15, 2019 at 8:48 pm #1117853 pitches in the dirt and Ozuna swings at all of them. 12 strike outs in 5 innings isn’t going to get it done.
October 15, 2019 at 8:48 pm #111786Jeez swung at a ball in the dirt, come on man!
October 15, 2019 at 8:48 pm #111788
stlcard25ParticipantTwo bad at bats there with a chance to drive another one in. Still, the Cards have life and the Nationals’ Achilles all season has been their terrible bullpen. Chances are there will be more scoring opportunities.
October 15, 2019 at 8:50 pm #111789At least they are making it somewhat respectable. They have now scored more runs this evening than the previous three combined.
Still a major domination by Washington. St. Louis has never lead in any game.
October 15, 2019 at 8:52 pm #111791Well hated to see those last 2 at bats esp from those two. We’re back in the game though. Don’t give up any more runs

Participantthat inning worked because we took those off speed pitches. goldy battled a little bit but still swung at two bad pitches, ozuna I guess is just ready to go home. swung at three pitches that weren’t even close.
October 15, 2019 at 8:55 pm #111794
stlcard25ParticipantGood work by Gallegos there. Need to keep scoring at least a run an inning now, and the Nats’ bullpen could fold.
October 15, 2019 at 8:58 pm #111795Got to add on here.
October 15, 2019 at 9:02 pm #111796
stlcard25ParticipantThis guy is literally throwing it right down the middle. Until that slider in the dirt. He’s so ripe to be taken deep.
October 15, 2019 at 9:02 pm #111797Yet another strikeout on a pitch just barely above the dirt. 13
October 15, 2019 at 9:05 pm #111798
stlcard25ParticipantThe Nats make the defensive plays while the Cards’ two blunders have been the difference in the game. Still some time but they have to get going right now.
October 15, 2019 at 9:08 pm #111799Almost everybody is putting wood on the ball now, still got a chance.
October 15, 2019 at 9:08 pm #111800One thing about this that is positive. This will be the first ever pennant for the Montreal/Washington franchise.
And it will be the first baseball pennant for a Washington team since 1933. That is 86 years, ironically the same number of seasons between Red Sox World titles when they best us almost as bad in 2004 as Washington is doing in this series.
October 15, 2019 at 9:14 pm #111801Nice job by Gallegos! Cards have nine outs left. Need to make something happen here.

Participantyea bicyclemike I agree. if we cant be there, I think its great for the Washington team. they have really good fans out there and they deserve it. im not a harper hater but I find it ironic that they may get to the world series the same year he goes to another team.
October 15, 2019 at 9:23 pm #111804Munoz and Edman both out swinging at high balls. Seen Munoz strike out before swinging at face high pitches.Yadis bout the only guy who can actually handle one.
October 15, 2019 at 9:24 pm #1118051982 willie
Participantwell its great that we have at least made them work a little for it after that first inning. if goldy and ozuna had been able to do what they should have against a very mortal corbin in that fifth inning, this might be a lot closer. better put a hold on that edman as next superstar star talk, he has really struggled this series though he isn’t alone.
October 15, 2019 at 9:24 pm #11180630 strikeouts in the last 16 innings. Time to find hitting coaches that can tweak things so breaking balls are not such an adventure.
