Reyes loses the next batter badly after getting squeezed. Bases now loaded, one out.

Oh oh! Bases now totally occupied with Pirates with just one out. Reyes will exit as Hicks will enter.

well shildt is just guessing now. though to be fair, our pitcher got hosed by a very bad call. Hudson may get it done but i would still have went with brebbia.

Check that! It’s Dakota Hudson getting the call. The St. Louis Hawks I do believe had a player back in the day by the name of Sweet Lou Hudson. Any relation to Dakota???

My opinion Yadi got to cute with the pitch calling to Kang goes 3-0 calling for 3 sliders to start him off. To many breaking balls called for. Let Reyes establish the fastball.

3-2 pitch to Kang was terrible call by umpire.

Check swing call on Schuck was another blown call by umpire.

Unbelievable, what a melt down by the pen. Umps helping them out big time too.

Damn good defensive play by Goldy to keep the Cards in the lead. Hudson needs one more for the save.

Wow nice to come home 3-3 with a split the way the season started in Milwaukee.

Nice to sneak that win in. I was following here and on at bat and it was getting pretty tense! Didn’t look like the ump was helping.

Anyway, back to .500 and hopefully above it for the rest of the season, starting tomorrow.

I think I’ll go fire up a little of Maxine Nightengale’s “Right Back Where Started From.”

Since you weren’t watching….it would be a mistake to limit the impact to just one. It was a team effort on their part.

While the umps have had better days, our bullpen still needs to make better pitches. The hitters helped some too. When Hudson went 2-0 on Reyes, had I been hitting there was no way I would swing at the next one. Reyes did and it would have likely been ball 3.

That swing on a not-so-great pitch probably turned the momentum around. Man, the little things you do or don’t do that can change a game.

It was ugly but we will take it.

Hopefully Reyes can shake off the rust. We are going to need him this year.

I like the power shown by Bader so far this year. Could be a big year for him. Now if we could just solve the other two OF spots.

Another nice come from behind win, but they can’t keep putting themselves in this situation, cause they won’t be able to keep doing this.

These are the kind of games that give a team confidence that they can produce comeback wins. That goes a long way in instilling into their heads reasons to not give up. The younger guys may be bringing that winning atmosphere from Memphis, a bunch of guys that won games every way imaginable. Notice who sparked the attack in the extra frames.
