Top of 9. Kyle Crick the new Pirate reliever. Crick is a Crock!

JMart – Jammed as Jose hits it in the air to short center where Marte will prance in to slap a little leather on it.

Yadi – Pops it a mile in the air, but unfortunately this one will land right around 1st base where Bell is patiently waiting it’s descent…2 outs.

    Dexter – Strikes out.

hey Pugsley that wasn’t fowler, it was munoz. though to be fair, you couldn’t tell by the result.

    Never ever say “Gant Can’t!”

The big guy is in to send this game into extra frames.

Good job, Willie! Was just testing you guys to see who was still in the game…and you passed. Yes, that was Munoz who struck out to end the Cardinal 9th….but we all know it could very easily have been Dexter who whiffed if he had remained in the game. Thanks Willie!

Reyes last pitched Sunday, not used Monday not used tonight in a close game. Is he available?

    Something happen I missed?

As for Miller very sharp tonight. Happy to see that. Was and still am concerned health wise he is risk to fall into overspend for reliever past his prime category. See Holland, Gregerson, Cecil track record of FA reliever signings.

you got to put the gove right in front of the base, i don’t know why these guys continue to reach out. the runner has to come to you. put it in front and move it left or right as necessary.

You know in this situation…..bottom of 9 in a tie game, runner at 2nd with no outs….and a foul ball to deep right…I don’t know if I would just let it land foul. Better to go for the K instead of having a runner at 3rd with just the one out .

Yep….go after Marte here instead of Cervelli. We’ll see.

Can’t believe Gant escaped that. Every time I’ve stopped watching good things have happened tonight. I might be following on the phone for extras

Top of 10. Nick Burdi getting the ball for Pittsburgh. With a name like “Burdi”, Nick should be with the Cardinals, where we have plenty of “Birdies”.

Wong – Turn on one Kolten…..turn on one! Lambastes it high and deep to right!!!….off the very top of the wall and Wong has aspirations for 3 as he rounds 2nd….and 3 it shall be! A leadoff triple is just what the doctor ordered here in Pittsburgh this evening if you’re a fan of the good guys in red!

Bader- Walks on a 3-2 wide one in the dirt.

O’Neill – Pokes a grounder intobright for a hit! Wong touches home as Bader holds at 2nd and the Cards have seized the lead!!

After at least one wild cut, O’Neill shortened his swing and did a nice job going the other way to get the run in.

great job by oneil. if he and guys like bader could learn to do that with those pitches at the edge and off the outside of the plate, this offense could be awesome.

Top of 10. And Burdi has to say bye bye as he’ll hit the showers due to lack of performance. Enter our old friend, Francisco Liriano.

Carp – Hits it in the air to straight away center where Marte has a beed on it….and Sterling has it for the out and no advancement on the bases can be initiated.

Goldy – Walks to fill the bases to it’s capacity with excited chirping Birds!

DeJong – The ball gets past Cervelli to the backstop and everyone will take an additional 90 feet of real estate…Bader the most lucrative of the 3 runners as he scores making it 5-3 Cards! Wild pitch charged to Liriano. ==/////////

Martinez- Grounds out to 2nd to retire the side.

Bob Walk gave O’Neill credit for great situational hitting on their broadcast.

Don’t look now….ok go ahead….but JMart has been fielding his outfield positions very nicely thus far in the early goings of 2019. Keep it up Jose!

if they would cut the umpires pay when they make bad calls like that, you would have less bad calls like that.

Ump is blind and squeezes Reyes to bring the winning run to the plate. Should’ve been out 2.
