Anyone have Flaherty’s stats at Miller. It seems to me that he’s been pretty much unhittable in this very hittable park.
I don’t know if he would have got cain but would have been nice if dejong had at least got the handle.
Jack can’t seem to find the plate now. Pitch count went from pretty solid to uncomfortable just like that.
Well, I also thought it was Boris Badenov, hence the “bad enough” reference.
Speaking of bad enough, how about that cookie that Flaherty gave Braun?
I had a strong feeling that was coming. Jack must get that part of his game under control or he will never be elite.
Right back at it for the Cards offense. Looks like Counsell is going to the pen to face Goldy with two on and none out.

Flaherty – Does not look uncomfortable with stick in hand…..and on cue, Jack laces a base knock to right….always a sweet start having your pitcher lead off with a hit.
Carp – Just misses lining a homer to right as it’s about 8 feet to the right of the pole. Lines it to riiiiight…and a diving Yelich cannot corral it! Cain was over from center though quickly to prevent Flaherty from entertaining any notions of flocking his way towards 3rd……1st & 2nd with nobody out! And that will put the finishing touch on Freddy Peralta’s evening as he’s heading for the showers….I kind of hate to see this guy leave.

Goldy – Golfs a rocket to to center!….but not too far from Cain as he’ll have it for the out.
DeJong – Hits one in the air down the line in right where Yelich dives ….and traps it! Flaherty will easily scamper in from 3rd and the Birds have recaptured the lead! 1st and 2nd now with 1 out ….4-3 Cards.
Ozuna – Strikes out looking on a pitch that probably could have been called either way.
Yadi – Albers balks sending the runners 90 feet further in their quest for home plate. Come on Yadi…..a little base hit here and we get our 3 RUN lead right back! Yadi walks and the bases are juiced with Birds!
Dexter – Come on Dexter….if you’ve ever had yourself a clutch hit let’s see one now! Whiffs hacking!!!!

Crew 3well I guess justice was served. fowler took a pitch right in his wheel house that should have been strike three.

Wong- Walks.
Bader- Lines a shot….but right at Cain in center for the out.
Flaherty- Lays down a dandy as Jack deadens the bunt about 8 inches out in front of the plate as Shaw will have no option other than to throw her on over to Aguilar at 1st as Wong prances safely into 2nd .
Carp- Rolls one out to Moose at 2nd and that will put an end to the Cardinal aspirations here in the 5th

Crew 4well I think Flaherty should have been pulled after 4 especially being we are at the top of the lineup. but maybe he can show some grit. 80 pitches is a lot this time of year. yadi throws out cain, no reason to run there but thank you very much.
