I like it, Pugs. In fact, Shildt and Mo ought to negotiate with Theo and Joe to change the series venue this weekend back to Wrigley, just to be sporting about it. It kinda has that sadistic pleasure a sick dude might feel by beating up another guy in front of the poor guy’s girlfriend.
How many no-no’s has Flaherty flirted with this year? Since we’re only in the 4th right now, this can only be considered a mild flirt or a passing suggestive glance at this point, but I bet Jack has legitimately flirted with at least 7 no-no’s here in 2019….and this might end up being his 8th.
Ha ha!! Back to Wrigley this weekend for an encore…..gotta love that idea, Euro! Maybe if we’re up by like 6 runs in the 9th, we can insert Leone into the game…..that should make her a 1 run game real quick.
Flaherty needs to bear down in the 4th. He’s given up two BBs, but comes back to ꓘ Lamb for the 2nd out.
Wrigley is going to be one quiet place until next April. I wonder if the groundskeepers will just let the lawn and ivy sit vacant without any attention until next spring? I hope they keep that ancient scoreboard as is for the next 5 months so cubbie fans can be reminded of one run cubbie heartbreaking setbacks every time they pass by the joint.
Bader has so much trouble consistently putting barrel on ball. I think he often doesn’t know where the pitch is until he feels the ball hit his bat or he hears the pop of the catcher’s mitt. Anyway, he struck out for the second out in the 5th. Flaherty follows with an infield single. Fowler up, does he have a 2-HR game in him tonight?
I think we very well may be witnessing something historic here…..no-no thru 4 2/3’s now and Arizona has had nothing even remotely masquerading itself as a hit thus far….there it is! Line shot right at Carp at 3rd for the out, but the Diamondbacks finally laid some decent wood on the ball….is there any column on the scoreboard for that?
After 5 innings, Flaherty remains unscathed, not only in the “R” column, but also in the “H” column. Come on guys, he deserves more run support.

Check that kook Diamondback mascot out prancing atop the Cardinal dugout. He looks more like a wet rat than a feared rattlesnake. I think if I were sitting right behind the dugout and he kept obstructing my view, I’d put him in a solid headlock and grind my knuckles into his grimmy scalp.
Cards had four batters in the 6th. All four hit it on the nose, including a single and double — but no runs.
Sounds like pre “Wrigley Four Peat Weekend”, Euro…..ooooh are we getting close to an official name for that series this past Weekend? We’re not quite there yet, but I bet someone comes up with a good name for it.

Why is it that many times primo hurlers like Flaherty receive an unusually low amount of offensive support?? There has to be psychological reason why. Who was that author of that best selling book “Baby Steps”? I bet he could explain it.
Must have gotten that Bobcat mascot for the kids. You’re right a diamondback rattlesnake would not be very kiddie friendly. Could you imagine a human size rattlesnake mascot. Scare the he__ outa the little ones!
