You could see Yadi start getting some good ABs several games ago. He’s in a zone now. Just hit a double to lead of the 9th, with Carp up.

Thomas hit on the wrist by the pitch. With the bases loaded the Brewers are going to the pen again. It would be nice to see the Cards totally break it open.

That is just disappointing from Goldy.

I realize it’s not an automatic thing but it sure seems like the Cards are punting on more runs by not pinch hitting for Carlos.

Missed a big chance there to blow this thing wide open. Goldy striking out and then sending the pitcher up. Hope 3 runs is enough.

Well, 6-3…hope the decision to keep Carlos in pays off.

I grow weary of guys striking out in important situations. A simple ground ball from Fowler or Goldy would have helped.

what I didn’t understand is why carpenter didn’t score on that double from bader. I know he isn’t fast but that was an obvious hit off the bat. we still have lots of problems getting guys in from third with less than 2 outs. I don’t disagree with leaving carlos in, but with a long top of 9th, id have somebody ready. hopefully hes good.

CMart just could not seem to miss Piña’s bat, until the 12th pitch. Two more outs to go.

Ump squeezed CMart on Cain for what was strike 3, but Cain grounds out anyway. One more to go.

Cmart has to work to get the first two outs but that he does. Now Spangenberg is up. Carlos has been painting corners this inning. 0-2 quickly and Carlos makes a mental mistake in trying to grab a ball that was going foul. The Brewers still have hope.
