Got to get Yadi home here.
August 27, 2019 at 9:39 pm #104056You could see Yadi start getting some good ABs several games ago. He’s in a zone now. Just hit a double to lead of the 9th, with Carp up.
August 27, 2019 at 9:43 pm #104057Thats big, lets do something with it!
August 27, 2019 at 9:45 pm #104059Way to go Bader
August 27, 2019 at 9:45 pm #104060
stlcard25ParticipantBader gets the runners over alright…and drives Yadi in! 5-3 Cards.
August 27, 2019 at 9:46 pm #104061Bader delivers with a double scoring Molina. Runners on 2nd and 3rd with no outs. Score 5-3.
August 27, 2019 at 9:48 pm #104062
stlcard25ParticipantWong with the single. 6-3 Cards with runners on the corners still.
August 27, 2019 at 9:48 pm #104063Wong makes a great return tonight by driving in another run with a single.
August 27, 2019 at 9:51 pm #104064Need Thomas to hit at least a fly ball here.
August 27, 2019 at 9:52 pm #104065Another painful night for Thomas
August 27, 2019 at 9:53 pm #104066
stlcard25ParticipantThomas hit on the wrist by the pitch. With the bases loaded the Brewers are going to the pen again. It would be nice to see the Cards totally break it open.
August 27, 2019 at 9:57 pm #104068Needed the ball in play there.
August 27, 2019 at 9:58 pm #104069That is just disappointing from Goldy.
August 27, 2019 at 9:58 pm #104070
stlcard25ParticipantGoldy Ks. Really could have used that run.
I realize it’s not an automatic thing but it sure seems like the Cards are punting on more runs by not pinch hitting for Carlos.
August 27, 2019 at 10:00 pm #104071Missed a big chance there to blow this thing wide open. Goldy striking out and then sending the pitcher up. Hope 3 runs is enough.
August 27, 2019 at 10:01 pm #104072
stlcard25ParticipantWell, 6-3…hope the decision to keep Carlos in pays off.
August 27, 2019 at 10:02 pm #104073I grow weary of guys striking out in important situations. A simple ground ball from Fowler or Goldy would have helped.
Mikolas had a good night.

Participantwhat I didn’t understand is why carpenter didn’t score on that double from bader. I know he isn’t fast but that was an obvious hit off the bat. we still have lots of problems getting guys in from third with less than 2 outs. I don’t disagree with leaving carlos in, but with a long top of 9th, id have somebody ready. hopefully hes good.
August 27, 2019 at 10:08 pm #104077Did anyone else see the bump on LTs wrist after the HBP? Didn’t look good
August 27, 2019 at 10:08 pm #104078CMart just could not seem to miss Piña’s bat, until the 12th pitch. Two more outs to go.
August 27, 2019 at 10:10 pm #104079Ump squeezed CMart on Cain for what was strike 3, but Cain grounds out anyway. One more to go.
August 27, 2019 at 10:11 pm #104080
stlcard25ParticipantCmart has to work to get the first two outs but that he does. Now Spangenberg is up. Carlos has been painting corners this inning. 0-2 quickly and Carlos makes a mental mistake in trying to grab a ball that was going foul. The Brewers still have hope.
August 27, 2019 at 10:12 pm #104081CMart brain cramp turns a would-be foul into a hit. Still need one more out.
August 27, 2019 at 10:13 pm #104082Doing a Ricky Vaughn impression with Arcia
August 27, 2019 at 10:14 pm #104083
stlcard25ParticipantNow Carlos can’t find the plate. Nothing can just be easy, can it? 4 pitch walk and the tying run comes to the plate.
