With an off day tomorrow, Oli can empty the pen. Not sure that’s a good thing, but if Gray can’t go 4 IP, hope for the best.

King rules, as he stops the bleeding. 9-7 Birds heading to the 5th. Give Sonny 9 runs through 4 frames and 99% of the time he’ll gain the “W”. Tonight that 1% reared it’s ugly mug.

Albert – Graceffo pitched in game 1 so I doubt he’d be available for multiple innings. King really is the only longer guy we have who could go 3. We have Svanson too as the extra guy today, but he’s probably only a 2 inning max guy.

Thanks Jnevel. I actually had not glanced at the box score closely yet for G1 and didn’t realize Graceffo pitched.

Yeah Svanson will likely be needed for at least 1 inning then

Oh my golly a 1-2-3 inning…..let’s return the favor in the bottom half here.

Schwarber gifted another late and close BB, which was strike 2. Philly at home treatment?

That is one thing Contreras needs to improve as a 1B. He seems to like plunking the runner in the back on that step on the bag throw to 2nd for the tag DP

Yep, easy DP if Contreras executes that throw to 2nd, Albert. If that were Goldy, we’d be in the dugout right now getting ready to take our hacks. King did his job as he exits with 2 out and a runner at 2nd here in the bottom half of inning #5 in a 9-7 St. Louis ballgame. Roycroft the new hurler.

Tai Walker takes over for Banks to start the 6th. We need to tack on more tallies here as 9 runs doesn’t have a prayer of winning this one.

Feels like an important opportunity for Roycroft.

    Herrera looks like a hitter.

We’re playing with fire here by not adding on to our advantage. We need a couple more.

    Johnny “Blue Moon” Odom.

And now we have Taijuan “On” Walker hurling for Philly. Oh man, he grooved one to Gorman, but Nolan popped it up. One of those pitches you want another crack at as a hitter.
