Wild pitch scores one and then a Contreras sac fly plates another

Philly’s pitching and offense are great, but their defense leaves a lot to be desired. I don’t know why they acquired Schwarber and Castallenos as both are pure DH’s, but Castallenos has to be in the field every day

Well I’m calling this one a “W”…..in the bank and drawing interest as we speak. The g/f is beckoning me to come watch Knots Landing with her, so off I go. Nighty nite gang.

Man, a better right fielder would have had that one.

Three lefties due up and they get a righty reliever.

I see Gray got touched up for 3 taters, but not a lot of shame when the box says Schwarber, Realmuto and Bohm. This Philly lineup is not for the squeamish.

That play in RF is exactly why Burly should not be in the OF ever. Very unathletic.

At least he made up for it with another base hit though

You know you are not pitching well when you walk Gorman.

Yeah, Bikemike, I had to laugh at the way Burleson awkwardly waved his glove hand in the air as the baseball sailed over the webbing and to the wall…Haha!

Lots of those ‘70s/‘80s road Phillies uniform jerseys in the stands. Fans must like those – or maybe they were tonight’s give-aways.

Lucky run #13. And now we tack on the extra point.

1TB, Jojo’s poodle may help him, but Marsh’s otter under his hat may we interfering with his ability to field his position today.

Noot does a great job of making productive outs. I know advancing the runner earlier doesn’t get him any credit on the stat line, but at least this sac fly does.

And Winn has had a great day as well with another RBI

Man, Donovan gets the club’s 19th hit tonight. After that five run first off Gray, who woulda thunk we’d come back and make this a rout.

Haha!…Yeah, Albert, that face plant didn’t do anything to improve that dirty mop stuffed under Marsh’s cap…That was real nice the way he performed a text-book bellyflop before the ol’ mug bounced off the turf!

Really liked Edmundo Sosa when he was with our club. Thought he should have been installed as the regular shortstop, but the Cardinals played DeJong because of the contract.

Svanson makes quick work of Edmundo here though.

Yeah, Bikemike, that may be highest total for the season. I can’t recall a game in which they had that many hits.

And now Rojas (not “Cookie”) goes down swinging. One to go.

Great job by Svanson to K the side. 2 out of 3 wins in Philly is great.

Charley Johnson hits Sonny Randle for two touchdown passes, with Jim Bakken adding the XPs, to over take Timmy Brown’s rushing TD giving St. Louis the 14-7 win over Philadelphia.
