Donovan with the triple to push across another run. That triple was of the standup variety. You don’t see an abundance of those.

Yeah, I’m with you on the E-9 call, Albert. It sometimes seems that a fielder has to kick it several times and then toss it into the stands before he’s charged with a Das Boot…

Really deep sac fly by Gorman. Good job getting the ball in the air driving the run in

Reprieve for Gormans last sac opp, and Walker added D to cover his.

Yeah, they really do, and that number 7 looks really good next to that round one on the Houston side of the board.

Sonny likely goes out for the 7th, but here are 4 out of the 5 last starts by the Cards. Getting good innings and quality results

Fedde – 6 innings no runs
Pallante – 7 innings no runs
Liberatore – 6 innings no runs
Gray – 6 innings no runs so far (5 innings 1 run the start before)

Another squibbler for Noot, but really good baserunning to make it a 2B

Ha if only we had that rotation.

Really good start by Gray today. 7 innings is the type of start we need if we are going to go to a 6 man rotation.

The 2Bman is at short since he’s the middle infielder and the 3Bman is at 2nd turning a DP w/a catcher at 1st. I think.

That last inning for Gray was trouble. Several hard hit balls, but the twin killing and a good catch by Contreras get him through unscathed.

Some 7th inning insurance runs anyone?

All jokes aside, those pitching numbers you posted look really good for a modern day team, Albert.

Arenado with 2 really good at bats fouling pitches off drawing it full and this time he is rewarded with a HR

Arenado jacks one to left…..8-0….and there’s our insurance right there……7-0 is a doable comeback, but 8-0 is insurmountable.

Arenado with 8 total bases. Astros are thinking, “Dang, wish he would have okayed that trade.”

Yeah 1TB they are really good numbers for the rotation. I am surprised as they have came against some good hitting clubs in Philly and Houston. I wouldn’t expect it to continue as the rotation is the weak spot of this team, but the last turn through has been really good.

Well, we’re getting some really nice turns from the rotation and the kids with the bats are ripping it real good. That can mean only one thing…Looks like the Redbird manager has finally learned how to manage a baseball team…Haha!

Hey if we can bat around this inning, Contreras will hit. It’ll be Contreras vs Contreras. Too bad Houston didn’t acquire Wilson Contreras this past off-season in a blockbuster 6 man deal with Milwaukee…..then we’d have Contreras pitching, Contreras catching and Contreras batting. Anybody know of any Contreras pitching coaches? Wouldn’t that be a sight.
