Walker didn’t take that none out, failed sac fly opp out into the field with him. He went back out and hustled on D.

The Noot walk scores after a Baker hit and a groundout. 1-0 StL
Gray at 43 pitches after 3 IP

Last season I had a BOLD prediction that Walker would one day win himself a gold glove. If he keeps up like he has started this season, then he has a real chance.

I also want to do a shoutout to my guy Pages who threw another guy out. Man has he been a difference maker early in the season.

Well they said over the air Walker covered 145 feet on that play which is the most by any OFer this year on a player. And now he hits an opposite field line drive double. He really is doing a better job of going to the opposite field.

You have to clear your hands to get the ball to that location. Just like that.

Man, Valdez really tied up Gorman. Need to push at least a run across after having 2nd and 3rd with no outs.

Picking on the curve now. Donny hammered it too.

Noot with a squibbler but it gets the job done.

Despite the really tough pitchers the Cards have been facing, the offense has been doing a good job

Nice…The Nootz places a tennis lob into shallow CF for a 2 out RBI to make it 4-0.

Mistake by Valdez hanging that breaking ball to Pages. Noot with a clutch two-out bloop to drive home a fourth tally.

6 all star pitchers in a row Albert. Some of them with a trophy that bears the name of a 500 win pitcher.

    Crazy production from catcher.

I like the way this new hitting coach has Walker more balanced at the plate. He’s not leaning way back like he did. He’s still a little bit back, but shows a much better approach, especially on pitches on the outer half.

I didn’t realize 6 in a row All Stars. That makes sense with how good Phillies rotation is though. Hunter Brown tomorrow. He isn’t as good as the others, but he is an up and coming quality arm.

That little RBI base hit from the Nootz conjured up images of Keith Hernandez who sometimes seemed to have the ability to place a soft base hit into shallow LF anytime he wanted to do so. Keith could really work a baseball bat as witnessed by a those 2182 base hits and a .296 lifetime. He also carried around a nice looking mitt at 1B…

Arenado in on the fun with an RBI to make it 5-0. I’m reasonably sure most would agree that he and Contreras will have to prove to be the linchpins of the Cardinal offense.

Great AB by Arenado fighting off pitches, and getting one to square up for his second two-bagger of the contest.

I’ll take a triple for Donny, but I don’t see how that isn’t a double an error on the RFer
