No ESPN at the Bikey Mikey household, so I will have noir movies on the Movies channel and keep up with the game online.
That “Fiddler’s On The Roof” place sounds like winner. If Pugs can get FRA and Rats together for the grand opening, with the Brewers game on the big screen, it would be a start to what promises to be a successful venture.
This run the Brewers are on is incredible. Even our late season push in 1964 was not this good. It seems whatever Brewers’ management does turns out golden. They let guys like Corbin Burnes walk, trade Josh Hader, let Craig Counsell go to manage a division rival, and they get better and better. You get the sense that if Gorman and Walker were Brewers, they would be all-stars.
August 10, 2025 at 7:56 pm #290175Wooster: Hey the umpire kid must have gone home.
Yeah it’s a school night if he’s in summer school, so he probably had to hit the road, Wooster. That one hour rain delay robbed the little rascal out of about 3-4 innings of baseball.
August 10, 2025 at 7:57 pm #290176Saggese has a quick bat. It will be fun watching him mature..
August 10, 2025 at 8:04 pm #290177
jj-cf-stlParticipantRooney said Saggese moved up in the box to handle the splitter. Sounds like a high baseball IQ.
August 10, 2025 at 8:08 pm #290178I don’t have ESPN so I’m missing this one. Right now I can only watch Springfield. Disappointed I missed the Pages homer against the Cubbies though Pugs!
August 10, 2025 at 8:13 pm #290179That “Fiddlers On The Roof” place sounds like a winner. If Pugs can get FRA(Front Row Amy) and Rat together for the grand opening, with the Brewers game on the big screen, it would be a start to what promises to be a successful venture.
Dandy idea, BicycleMike. Hopefully, those 2 love Birds would have gone out several times prior to the grand opening of “Fiddlers On The Roof”, so Rat can get down on one knee in front of Front Row Amy to propose matrimony. There wouldn’t be a dry eye in the house……which would also most likely trigger a very festive mood for heavy drinking……which in turn would trigger the house to tack on a little marriage tax to each and every patron’s bill who appeared to have over-indulged in the ol’ bubbly. I also plan on having a real Fiddler to play soft music on the restaurant’s second floor terrace overlooking Lake Monona. I’ll keep you guys updated as to it’s grand opening.
August 10, 2025 at 8:17 pm #290180Oh oh, Shaw just shanks a 2 run tater to left to tie this baby up at 2-2. Pages & Shaw with the game’s only homers and rbi……off Imanaga & Gray respectively. Go figure, this is a crazy game.
August 10, 2025 at 8:17 pm #290181You can partially blame that on Gorman.
2-2
August 10, 2025 at 8:25 pm #290182Gorman has got to go this offseason. His glove wasn’t that reliable at 2B either. His bat ought to bring a high ceiling pitcher if he grts traded. Donovan or Saggese can handle 3B.

ParticipantChicago dinger ties it up.Not too keen myselg on Burleson playung 3rd but I could be wrong. Depends on hiw agile he is. I’ve seen this Cubs pitcher befire and he stands like the Karate Kid on one leg doing the fighting crane thing. Needs a hard grounder to the ankle to straughten out his delivery!
August 10, 2025 at 8:29 pm #290184It was just a knucklehead play by someone who can’t afford to make plays like that.
August 10, 2025 at 8:32 pm #290185I’ll keep you guys updated as to it’s grand opening.
Yep, keep us posted, Pugs. Hopefully we have a large influx of TCNers there – maybe combine the Rats-FRA nuptial with the first ever TCN member convention.
August 10, 2025 at 8:33 pm #290186Sonny is spinning it tonight. This is a good game to watch so far heading into the bottom of the 6th.

ParticipantRedemption from last night ZTR !
August 10, 2025 at 8:37 pm #290188I’m still pissed the Cardinals didn’t sign Imanaga a couple seasons back. I was sure they were going to sign him right up until the moment they signed Lance Lynn (after Gibson). That move made no sense to me then. And while Lynn was kind of fun to watch and was overall better than expected, he wasn’t good and Imanaga has been good.
August 10, 2025 at 8:38 pm #290189Great ideas, BicycleMike! I’m thinking you just may have to be master of ceremonies for our grand Grand Opening.
Imanaga looks nasty tonight. We need Pages to take him deep again.
Yep, Imanaga in a Cards uni would have been magnificent, Jnevel.

ParticipantIf Rats new digs is gonna be Fiddlers on the Roof something needs to be going on on the roof! Fiddlers or even a band stand and dance floor?
August 10, 2025 at 8:54 pm #290191Wooster2
ParticipantFinally a clean hit. Gorman up
August 10, 2025 at 8:57 pm #290192Wooster2
ParticipantWalker stwals 2nd-nice Gorman nice hit scores Walker RBI!
August 10, 2025 at 8:57 pm #290193Now there’s some good baseball. Hit, steal, hit and then a run scored. Nice.
August 10, 2025 at 8:58 pm #290194Wooster2
ParticipantLets chase the karate kid!

I thought you knew. We only get the lower level sloppy seconds from Asia. The top tier Asian players like it where the sushi and fish are fresh and common folk are around.
August 10, 2025 at 8:59 pm #290196
jj-cf-stlParticipantVs a lefty too.
August 10, 2025 at 9:00 pm #290197Our manager probably isn’t bright enough to just roll Walker and Gorman out there 5/6 for thd rest of the year.
August 10, 2025 at 9:00 pm #290198Wooster2
ParticipantTook the hook to him -new pitcher!
