He’s in the zone but making mistake pitches. Competing well.

Frankly, this Cardinals team is to the Dodgers what teams like the Pirates or Marlins were to the Cards during their great runs. A chance to rack up easy wins against an overmatched team. Without Gray, the rotation is pretty bad and the offense really doesn’t do much against abover average pitching.

I think Cy Miller has the goods.

Thompson filling up the strike zone. Hope he gets away with it.

jj-cf-stl typed : Thompson filling up the strike zone. Hope he gets away with it.

that’s what he did in College. Rarely walked anyone. One of the best BB/K ratios in the last 6 years.

Wonder how many innings we will go before someone not named Paul Goldschmidt will get a hit?

I can’t recall another 6 time GG OF’er who also manned up as a middle IF’er.

on a serious note. I’m all for asking Goldschmidt and Nado to waive their NTC’s and get what you can for them from some contender. Play the young guys, hire a veteran manager the rest of the year to Coach them, help them mature. Then hire whatever YES Man Putz you want in the offseason. As long as Mo is still here, we’ll never get a good Manager for a full season.

Look, over the course of a full season the Dodgers are 15-20 games better than the Cardinals.

Look at their roster and now look at ours. It’s a mismatch BUT in a playoff series anything can and often does happen,

We all know the Cardinals want to be just good enough to squeak into the playoffs and then pray to get hot.

If they are in it at the deadline Mo will try to go get a 2nd decent pitcher to go with Gray and then see what happens.

I don’t like it but this is the Cardinal Way.

Thompson gives up another gopher ball to Hernandez and it’s a wide gulf opening in LA. 5-0 Dodgers.

oops – T Hernandez with the 3 run dinger to make it 5-0 Dodgers and it looks like another short start for the Cardinals.

    2023 just won’t go away…..

Continuity is only good when your organization is winning and doing well. When your organization, top to bottom, is sucking and not winning, continuity makes your organization stale and boring.

15 to 20 games better than us? I’d say 30 to 35 is more like it! We look like another 71 win team and 101 should be easy for them! Looks kinda like the A’s playing the Astros! No contest!
