Palm Beach cleaning up the IL for the off season. They still have the 60-day IL players listed and FSAIL but this puts all the others back on the roster.

09/21/26 – Palm Beach Cardinals activated RHP Andrew Dutkanych IV from the 7-day injured list.
09/21/26 – Palm Beach Cardinals activated OF Trevor Condon from the 7-day injured list.
09/21/26 – Palm Beach Cardinals activated 1B Heriberto Caraballo from the Development List.
09/21/26 – Palm Beach Cardinals activated RHP Keiverson Ramírez from the 7-day injured list.
09/21/26 – Palm Beach Cardinals activated RHP Jovi Gálvez from the 7-day injured list.

The Roster Matrix shows Shelagowski on the 7-day Il, but they slipped this transaction in while we weren’t looking!
08/06/26 – Palm Beach Cardinals transferred RHP Jake Shelagowski from the 7-day injured list to the 60-day injured list.

Hjerpe is being optioned out so they can add a fresh arm for the final series. Likely candidates are Fernandez or Svanson.

I think it should be Svanson so that he can redeem himself for last night in Memphis. It will be a tough off-season for him having to remember that all winter.

Hampton missed 2024 with a flexor strain, then had TJ and missed 2025. Hmmm, why does that sound familiar?

Hamptons first 2 years were very good. I think he’s worth a flyer. Although it won’t help his development if there is no season next year.

I dont know. Picking up guys that are injury plagued isnt good for business. I guess maybe thats all behind em and maybe its worth a shot going forward.

I guess Hampton is going to be our Dustin May for 2027. Hopefully a lot cheaper though.

I don’t see the two as comparables as all. Coming into 2026, May had 324 IP over six years of MLB experience (some on the IL). Hampton hasn’t even thrown an inning at Triple-A (and what he did at Double-A was not good). In terms of experience level with injury thrown in, think more like Ixan Henderson and you’d be closer, as I see it.

I was referring to the injury aspect. May definitely had more upside hence the higher cost.

Thank you for the reminder. I had meant to remove Briam Reyes and will do that now. He returned to Cuba, breaking his contract. By placing him on the Restricted List, the Cardinals keep his rights should he return later.
