Winker and Suarez to the Mariners for youth. Full tank mode indeed.

I think the Pirates are now the favorites in the quest for getting out of the cellar.

they were so much closer than they were farther away, shame as their fans are good and deserve to see a winner

if they are selling though…I don’t care about the played out “intra-division deals won’t happen” excuse…call em up and ask about Castillo…see what their price is…

I am very surprised they let Winker go, he seemed a very good new core piece

They have some nice young pitchers and hitters coming, so they may be fun to watch just for that

    Still better than Pirates

Who by the way I’d call about Reynolds

I am still of the opinion we need a bat, some kind of dependable bat i don’t even care what side of the plate

The Reds owner’s son seems intent on making a lot of friends in Cincinnati.

Indeed. If I’m his father, I don’t think I would allow that nob to get anywhere close to a camera or microphone.

Man, what a dumb a**. Sad to see that an organization steeped in tradition and success has a pompous ass for an owner.

How about working to build a world class organization – let’s start their Mr. Owner. Obviously you should not have bought a sports franchise with the attitude you exhibit. Johnny Bench must be ashamed at what has happened to this once proud and respected club.

If I remember correctly, Aquino started his career with a loud bang. I thought the Reds had a superstar in the making. It just never developed. Hope he works things out in Japan.

Dodgers will probably pick him up, put him on the Malibu Wheatgrass And Beetle Diet, and get a 4-WAR season out of the fatso.

Good for the Reds, though. If you don’t think the player can help you win, just get rid of him. The money, as the cool kids say, is a sunk cost. Don’t compound your mistake by making the club worse.

The Reds DFA one washed up veteran so they can pay him to play for someone else then turn around and sign another washed up veteran so they can pay him too. Interesting.

Drury, Pham and now Myers. Reds hoping for good deadline value.

I can remember the talk back when The Reds signed Moustakas. He had come off 3 pretty decent years. Hit some home runs and K rate below 20%. Defense nothing to write home about, but he provided some homers. a 2 WAR player. All Star. But on the other hand, the teams he had been on always were ready to move on exercising the buy out a couple times. The Reds sign him and the covid year happens. He did OK, but that was it, he stunk after that. I can’t decide if it was a bad signing or bad luck.

According to this, the Reds team is worth “only” $1.19 billion!

Both were outstanding vs RHB’s last season.

Agree Brian. I was hoping Nick would end up in St Louis.
