Baez is a guy who, if everything comes together, has a chance to be an All Star (and a legit one, not the 2026 Cardinals charity All Star). For that reason, I see why he’s rated where he is. The floor is obviously much lower. I’d like to think that the new team helped unlock something for Josh last year that he can take forward. AAA will show us where he’s at pretty quickly, I’m sure. Chaim isn’t known for being a snappy promoter, so I’m sure he’ll have plenty of time to sit there and not be rushed up for a lost season.

Josh Baez is certainly one to keep an eye on. Jordan Walker should have him in his rear view mirror.

Per Pipeline, the Cards have only the third best system in the division – BUT they are ranked no. 4 in MLB.
