Here we go again with the ol’ roof trick…They may keep out the rain and cold, but eventually they all leak.
October 5, 2026 at 7:40 pm #320410I was just informed by the PBP guy that if the baseball gets stuck up there in the roof, that it’s ruled a GRD which is dumbest thing I’ve heard since lunch time…
October 5, 2026 at 7:48 pm #320414Schlittler had to be wondering if Moe, Larry and Curly Joe were manned up on the Yankee IF in that home half of the 1st inning. Normally 3 Das Boots in an inning looks like a 4 or 5 run deficit. Yankees had better scrap the oven mitts.
October 5, 2026 at 7:49 pm #320415Diaz was almost late to writing out his will…
October 5, 2026 at 7:51 pm #320416Curly was a heck of a catcher, TD. And Shemp had one whale of a nasty curve.
October 5, 2026 at 7:53 pm #320417After all of this, if Schlitler can hold them to just the 1 run after all of this drama through 2 innings, then you have to like the Yankees odds of winning this game.
October 5, 2026 at 7:54 pm #320418Man, White Sox take two in Cleveland and put the Guardians backs to the wall. Plus that crowd in Chicago is going to be bonkers for game three.
Somehow though I don’t think the Guards will go away quietly. I like the Sox and think it would be great for them to win the series in their home park. Went to my first game there this summer and was impressed – nice ball park, great crowd, lots of enthusiasm. But the Guardians are no slouch and played well down the stretch. Don’t think they will be intimidated.
October 5, 2026 at 8:02 pm #320420Freddie looks ready tonight. You have to wonder why he was so awful in a Mets uni?
October 5, 2026 at 8:16 pm #320423How’s everyone like the multi-sports blonde in that commercial? I’d have to declare that she’s more than easy on the eyes. I’ll bet our friend Carter knows her…Haha!
October 5, 2026 at 8:17 pm #320424Boy that Just Sports commercial they just played featuring Sweeney (forgot her first name), is enough to knock your socks off.
October 5, 2026 at 8:18 pm #320425This Ben Rice is no joke. He really put a genuine charge into that solo tater to tie this game up.
October 5, 2026 at 8:20 pm #320426Haha…My socks are laying out in street, Pugs!
October 5, 2026 at 8:24 pm #320427Mine too TD. They need to play that commercial more often. The stupid ones they play all the time…….go figure.
October 5, 2026 at 8:30 pm #320428This park sounds like Yankee Stadium South. There may be more Yankee fans in attendance……..if not then they definitely have bigger mouths than Tampa fans.
October 5, 2026 at 8:39 pm #320429What, no din-din reports for today?
My din-din was a pizza from Papa John’s, which is just about a half mile down the road from me.
And tomrrow night I will be heading to the Snitzlebank restaurant down in Jasper for some fine German cuisine. Meeting up with three other retirees that I used to work with.
October 5, 2026 at 8:39 pm #320430Yeah, Pugs, NY fans make almost as much noise as the NY hype.
October 5, 2026 at 8:42 pm #320431What, no din-din reports for today?
We’re all still reeling from the Cindy Sweeney commercial to think about chow, Rat. But that din-din you have on tap for tomorrow at the Der Wienerswitzel sounds like a dandy.
October 5, 2026 at 8:46 pm #320432New Tampa reliever Cam Boozer. You have to love that last name. I wonder if he inhabits the same family tree as that New York Jets RB from yesteryear, Emerson Boozer? You know if we can swing deals this off seadon for this Boozer fellow and Hunter Gaddis from the Indians, then our revamped bullpen would be looking pretty darn good with the likes of Gassy, Gaddis and Boozer.
October 5, 2026 at 9:06 pm #320433Makes me think of NY running back Emerson Boozer who was a member of the legendary ’69 Superbowl champion Jets team.

October 5, 2026 at 9:06 pm #320435Anybody know what the record is for most team errors in a post season game is? The Yanks have to be threatening it….and we’re only in the 5th.
October 5, 2026 at 9:08 pm #320436Palacious is getting too many looks.
October 5, 2026 at 9:11 pm #320437And Palacios rips this game open with the 2 out, 2 RBI base hit to make it 5-1 Rays in the home half of the 5th. You saw that coming.
October 5, 2026 at 9:30 pm #320442The Megan Fox commercial is nothing to sneeze at either, TD
October 5, 2026 at 9:31 pm #320443I knew that Raffy Furcal held the player record for E’s in a post-season game with 3 in the same inning, but had to look up team E’s and the source told me the record is a total of 6 Das Boots by the Dodgers in game 2 of the ’66 WS. According to that same source, Willie Davis shares the record with Furcal as he is also purported to have been charged with 3 E’s in that same ’66 WS game 2. The source also say all 3 of Willie’s Das Boots came in the same inning. I wasn’t aware of the Davis E’s, but I knew that he was awarded several GG’s while playing CF. In regards to Raffy, I’ll maintain that the Cardinals don’t win anything in ’11 without snagging him from the Dodgers in July of that memorable season.
