I wasn’t sure about the name change either CIF, but now that I am used to it I really like the name. Plus I looked up information on how the organization went about the process to change the name and was impressed. They did a lot of due diligence and did not take the process lightly, knowing how fans identify with their favorite teams so strongly.
Check out the guardians the team is named after. I wouldn’t want to face one of them in a conflict.

ParticipantRays win. I dont think its a given that cleveland cant win both at the rays but i wouldnt bet on it. We will see.
October 18, 2026 at 8:16 pm #321354I wonder what kind of crowd the Rays will draw at home. I kind of favor Cleveland just because they have actual baseball fans there who have supported the team for a long time through good times and bad.
October 18, 2026 at 8:32 pm #321355In ALCS Games 1 and 2, the Rays drew 35K and 32K fans, respectively. (both midweek games)
In G3, 4 and 5, the Guardians had 30K, 33K and 36K. (two of the three on the weekend)
So, no real difference.
October 18, 2026 at 9:33 pm #321356These games should be selling out. Ticket prices are too high.
October 19, 2026 at 10:48 am #321379I think maybe with school in session and people busy it’s tough to work in a post season game. There might be a bit of burn out as well after 162 (81 home) games and then the post runs on awhile. From a pure competition view point I liked the World Series right after the season. It was the big climax to the long season. Now there is a relatively long second season. But it’s that way in all sports – more moola from tournament- style sporting events.
October 19, 2026 at 11:26 am #321385Pugs three seats away from Front Row Amy and closing in…….
I’m 11 rows behind the visitors dugout, so not quite the primo vantage point that the lovely Front Row Amy has, Rat. I’ll be there for all of the Milwaukee games, but rumor has it that Front Row just may not be occupying her normal perch for the series. If not, we’re all hoping it’ll be the lovely young lady from the “Just Sports” commercials front and center behind home plate. We’ll have to come up with a name for her……maybe Front Row Foxy works?

ParticipantI wasnt paying attention i guess but i just now noticed tampa bay has the name devil rays on their unis instead of rays. I know they started out being devil rays but then changed to rays for some reason but apparently didnt bother getting new uniforms.

ParticipantA big reason im pulling for the devil rays now is apparently cleveland seems to not have a set rotation. Every game seems to be a bullpen game. I just dont care for that.
October 19, 2026 at 8:18 pm #321429That ‘just sports’ lady in front you reportedly has a fatal attraction to distinguished, older gentleman, Pugs. If you happen to fit that description, proceed, but with care.
October 19, 2026 at 8:52 pm #321434Tampa Bay up on Cleveland 3-1 at the end of five.
Starting to look like a Tampa Bay and Milwaukee world series.
Ratings will be low for this edition of the world series.
October 19, 2026 at 9:21 pm #321435If CLE can’t pull this one from the fire, I’ll be forced to watch dancing with stars tomorrow night. Not at all unlike being subjected to a protracted session of intense waterboarding.

ParticipantRays manager trying to give this game away. Brought in seymour with 2 outs and runners at 1st n 2nd, he walks 2, hits one. Horrible, why would u bring him in. Throws way too slow, heck i think i could almost hit him.
