Brewers and Dodgers again. Rays vs. White Sox/Cleveland.
NLCS Game 1 Dodgers at Brewers on Sunday.

National League Championship Series
Los Angeles Dodgers -160
Milwaukee Brewers +140
Note: Current odds imply a 61.5% probability of the Dodgers reaching the World Series.World Series Odds
Los Angeles Dodgers 7/5 (+140)
Tampa Bay Rays 11/4 (+275)
Milwaukee Brewers 16/5 (+320)
Chicago White Sox 12/1
Cleveland Guardians 22/1October 8, 2026 at 9:26 am #320718Brewers vs Dodgers should be an epic showdown. It will also have more riding on it than just a trip to the World Series. The pro-salary cap commissioner and owners will desperately be rooting for the Dodgers to win, therefore, I will be rooting for the Brewers.
Before the season started it was suggested by some that the Cardinals should develop a business model similar to Milwaukee, Tampa, and Cleveland. All three teams are still standing as of this post.
October 8, 2026 at 1:58 pm #320750Yeah, that’s a fact that pretty much shoots down the claim that a franchise can secure a championship entirely via the dollar. However, the Dodgers have demonstrated how successful a franchise can be when money is coupled up with a first rate baseball operation such as the Dodgers.
October 8, 2026 at 4:27 pm #320765So far 3 of the 4 participants in the LCS are not only winners of their respective divisions, but also possess the 3 best regular season records in baseball. The Indians still have an outside chance to make the division winner proposition a 4 for 4 affair, but with 2 of the ALWC qualifiers having more W’s than either the ALC and ALE division winners, that wouldn’t have a possibility. In any case, we’ll get a look at the best teams in the game competing in the LCS which is, in principle, how it’s supposed to pan out.
October 11, 2026 at 8:13 am #320902Rooting the most for the Brewers, but I’ll be happy with anyone other than the Dodgers.
I’m glad the Guardians beat the White Sox. I’m not a fan of any Chicago sports.

The longest shot after falling down 0-2, but they get ‘er done. Jose Ramirez is a money player.
October 11, 2026 at 10:28 am #320915Updated lines.
ALCS
Cleveland Guardians +150
Tampa Bay Rays -170Note: Current odds imply a 63% probability of the Rays reaching the World Series.
NLCS
Los Angeles Dodgers -160
Milwaukee Brewers +140Note: Current odds imply a 61.5% probability of the Dodgers reaching the World Series.
2026 World Series
Los Angeles Dodgers 7/5 (+140)
Tampa Bay Rays 11/4 (+275)
Milwaukee Brewers 17/5 (+340)
Cleveland Guardians 7/1October 11, 2026 at 1:03 pm #320923If I were foolish enough to wager on baseball, I’d be tempted to bet a dollar on the Tribe. They’ve taken on the look of a baseball team that has entered into the sort of territory in which all roads lead to the proverbial promised land. The record 21 K’s coupled with the scorching bat of their 3B’man has gained my attention.
October 11, 2026 at 5:17 pm #320929I’m a bit disappointed that I have to wait until tomorrow to watch Yamamoto work. I’ve been calculating the total number of pitches of which he hold complete command and I’m up to 27…Or somewhere thereabouts.
October 11, 2026 at 5:42 pm #320930Well, one this is for certain. At least I think it’s for certain. Stranger things have happened, I guess.
And what is certain is that you don’t need a meteorological report for the games at Miller Park in Milwaukee.
Anyway, around 68 degrees at game time. No chance for rain.

ParticipantWell im def tuning im tonight hopefully will be a good game. I want a pitchers duel but i want the brewwrs to win late. I dknt really care about the other series, cleveland hasnt won it all in so long its like they have never won.
October 11, 2026 at 5:58 pm #320933Yeah, Cleveland goes back to just after WWII for their last championship when rogue owner Bill Veeck was at the helm. They have won four pennants since then, all when they were known as the Indians, but no championship. I would be happy to see them bring home the trophy as the Guardians.
But then we have Milwaukee, which has not won since 1957 when they were known as the Braves. The Brewer franchise only claims one pennant, losing the Series to our St Louis bunch back in 1982. Our Hall of Fame catcher Ted Simmons was a prominent member of that Brewer squad.
Tampa has never won, although they have a pennant, and LA, well we know their story. Deep pockets buys you rings.
Give me a Brewer pennant, and then whichever AL team gets in and someone will break a long drought.

The last thing I want to see is a bunch of packers/brewers fans flooding Busch..I’m too old to fistfight with these people Brian..let’s go skubs game 1 set the tone
October 11, 2026 at 7:56 pm #320936Haha…Busch Memorial Stadium has long since gone.

ParticipantGood game. The mizz wasnt as advertised but he only gave up 1 run through just over 4. Skubal gave up 2 in 5. Was prettt dominant for 3 but looked avg after that. Both bullpens were great and brewers hang on. I expect the rest of the games to be like this.
October 11, 2026 at 10:52 pm #320939A NLCS game 1 final of 2-1 Brewers with this one panning out as advertised with the hitters from both teams not finding any bargains while standing in with a bat. In any case, the outcome was in question until the last pitch which compels me to venture a guess that this series extends to the full 7 games before anything’s decided. I hope so anyway because, not only do I enjoy post-season baseball action, but I’ve also never been one of these fans who wants to speed up the game in order to hurry up and get it over with…
October 12, 2026 at 9:50 am #320959Happy to see the Brewers give the Dodgers a poke in he nose despite Misi’s difficult day. It’s hard to cheer for those Milwaukee guys but even harder to like the Dodgers.
October 12, 2026 at 10:18 am #320962Good start for the Crew. Manfred hasn’t broken out the Mylanta just yet but another Milwaukee win or two and he will start sweating.
October 12, 2026 at 10:58 am #320964On the Brewer bandwagon for the NLCS and glad they were able to sneak away with a win in game one despite Miz not having good command. They got a couple of big double-play balls to halt potential Dodger rallies.
October 12, 2026 at 11:20 am #320965Does the game today start at 4:00 est or 5:00 est?
I’ve seen both times advertised in different places.
October 12, 2026 at 11:57 am #320967Rat, I believe it is 5pm EST and 4PM CST.
October 12, 2026 at 1:39 pm #320978Yeah, I am seeing 4pm Central (3pm where I live) for Dodgers-Brewers on Fox, and 7 Central for Guardians-Rays on TBS.
No TBS for me so I will have to follow that one online.
October 12, 2026 at 2:26 pm #320981By the way. Did everybody see Front Row Amy behind homeplate last night?
No wonder those Doyers can’t hit the ball. They were completely distracted.
