To avoid the possibility of any copyright infringments, I have to acknowledge that my use of the term “Crowbar” in reference to the Cubbie CF’er was a copy of a Rat original that he coined long ago. Just the same, I really like the term and can’t resist calling the so and so CF’er, “Crowbar”…So, I’ll continue to do so…Haha!
Tatis can’t produce with baserunners at 2nd and 3rd for the Padres. Still 2-0 Cubbies headed to the home half of the 5th at Wrigley. I’m going to be a little sad if the Padres don’t make some noise to come back and win this game.

If the Yankees can hold on to this 4-0 8th inning lead and advance to the ALDS, I’ll be 2-2 in my baseball gypsy fortune telling visions regarding the first round. That’s obviously a lackluster .500 record and is far short of the sort of baseball gypsy fortune telling skills and talent that would be required for consideration to be elected to the baseball gypsy fortune telling HOF…So, I’ll simply try to do a better job and channel all of my supernatural powers into focusing my visions for the next round. Yankees and Mariners advance to the ALCS.The Padres really got hosed on that strike three call against Bogaerts. It was clearly ball four. And then the next two hitters got hit by a pitch. They could have had the bases loaded, nobody out.
My cousin told me about the bad call on Boegarts. That’s a bummer – might have cost San Diego the series.
I went 3-1 in the WC series, knowing the Guardians-Tigers match up would be tough with Skubal almost guaranteed to grab game one.
While the Crew are the top seed, I think Imwould rather face them than either the Phils or Dodgers. We will see.
I will be rooting for a Mariners-Brewers Fall Classic. That would have an interesting story line as the Brewers started life as the Seattle Pilots.
