Cubs got a rally going.
2-1 Brewers top of the 6th.
Cubs have 1st and 2nd, nobody out.
On the verge of woe and despair……
Brewers dodge disater as Suzuki rips one that looked like it was headed for the LCF gap with baserunners at 1B and 2B with 1 out but Chourio runs it down for the 2nd out.
Now Happ gets rung up looking for the final out of the Cubbie 6th as he strands both baserunners. Still 2-1 Brewers heading to the home half of the 6th.
A 2 out BB to Frelick induces Counsell to hand the baseball to former Redbird, Kittredge to work to Durbin.
Kittredge escapes the 6th unscathed as the Brewers strand runners at 1B and 2B. If I’m a Brewer’s fan, I’m as nervous as a hooker on nickel night…
Still 3-1 Brewers heading to the last of the 8th.
