I guess we get VerHagan for the 8th.

Man, lots of sharp line drives for outs today.

Well, VerHagan threw that one right down the middle which led to a double. Yuck.

VerHagen in a mess now. Getting way too much of the plate on the 2 hits to Ramirez and Arias. Fooled Bell for the K in between.

Do we want Cabby with the bases loaded?

Bring him on prior to the IBB with 1B open.

Load the bases intentionally for Cabby. “Danger” is Oli’s middle name, haha!

Yes, let’s IBB the bases loaded and bring in the worst pitcher in the bullpen. Sounds like a winning strategy.

Yeah, Euro, I don’t know why he didn’t go to him with 1B open. Guess he didn’t have him up and loose.

See I said that on purpose knowing the opposite would happen. Welcome to my life.

And we continue to hit line drives really hard. They just keep getting caught. The wind blowing in is hurting.

Oh well. Keep up the line drives.

Wooster, same here on Knizner’s throw, I was holding my breath. I think Goldy had to dislodge his tibia a couple inches out of his knee socket to stretch high enough to snag it.

    If this 3-2 score holds up, it’ll be Cleveland’s 25th 1 run game final. That’s a lot.

Yep 1td, I’ve been listing to the Cleveland broadcast. Last night one of the guys said they are used to these situations (close games). Then he said, but they don’t necessarily like them, lol. He gave the stat that they are losing most of them.

Now Helsley completely loses the plate and gives up a BB. Knizner out to chat with him.

1 run games are typical of teams with strong pitching but weak hitting, which the Guardians are.

Helsley walks another. We’ve seen this before. Blake out to talk now. Can Helsley get it back?
