First we get a Bieber. And now we get a Bibee. What’s up on Sunday, a Bierbower?

What do we know about TBA? How did he look in AAA?

On a bad note……Milwaukee shortstop Adames got hit by a foul ball whilst in the Brewers dugout. He’s been taken to a hospital. If he’s out for awhile that’s a bad thing for Milwaukee.

Boy I hate to hear that. My dad always told me and my brother, if you’re sitting up close you have to be paying attention. That sure is true. I happened to think of that not long ago when the TV camera zeroed in on a player in the dugout staring at a tablet or some such device. It was a Cardinal but I don’t remember who.

I’ve been out for touch for a few days. Why the TBA’s and why Libertore? Is a starter injured?

Nathan, I think this is Flaherty’s turn. The stretch with no days off combined with starter incompetence and management waffling about the temporary? sixth starter? who is also potentially a reliever makes it hard to predict the rotation days in advance.

I was surprised to see that although Flaherty has only featured 1 or possibly what could be termed 2 nice preformances in his 10 turns this season, the Cardinals are 6-4 in games in which he was the SP’er. By contrast, the Redbirds are a horrendous 2-8 in Matz’ 10 turns in ’23. Mr. Jack hasn’t been too good, but maybe he’s a rabbit’s foot.

In his last two starts Jack is 1-0. Lets not over think it.

Taking a gander at the out-of-town scoreboard:

The Reds and Cubs are scoreless in the top of the 1st at Wrigley.

The Giants and Brewers are 0-0 also in the top of the 1st at Miller Park.

And the Pirates and Mariners have no score, also in the top of the 1st at the Kingdome.

When are they finally going to move Contreras down in the lineup? Jeepers Oli, he’s what, about a .225 hitter???

At this point I almost feel that Jordan Walker needs to be called up. And the sooner the better! Yepez and Burleson aren’t doing anything except giving us poor outfield defense in LF.

Maybe they had it right using Contreras as DH, lol. Only time he’s really hit much…

Taking an updated gander at the out-of-town scoreboard:

San Francisco leads the Brewers 1-0 in the 4th at County Stadium.

Seattle leads Pittsburgh 4-0 in the 4th at the Kingdome.

The Reds and Cubs still scoreless in the top of the 1st at Wrigley.

Five LH bats in the line-up if Eddie bats LH.

I’m beginning to feel as though I wouldn’t mind too much if Eddie decided to hit exclusively from the right side. It’ll have a marginal effect on his abilty to get out the box and down the 1B line, but I’m not entirely sure that’s such a big deal. I haven’t really taken a close look at the opposing numbers, but for some reason I’m just more confident in his ability as a hitter when I see him stepping in from the right side. In any case, he’s always impressed me as a substantially above average hitter and his recent extended stretch of success with the bat has once again reinforced that impression, so whatever approach he decides on is okay by me. One thing’s certain…When he reaches base, there’s always a real good chance he’ll come around to score and that’s the primary reason I think he’s such a valuable baseball player.

Fox is showing Cubs vs. Reds and calling it Live broadcast. On Fox Sports 1 they are showing Nascar. On Bally Sports Midwest they are showing Poker. WTH?

Missed the 2 out tater from Donovan and had to back it up to take a look. He mashed it pretty good. There’s your run, Jack. Lock it in the bank.

That’s no good, J Mack. The regional thing must have messed you up.
