Yep, Wisdom’s indecision helped. I don’t think he would’ve turned two anyway, but maybe he would’ve. After he hesitated, he had no chance.
That was gonna hurt. Hicks ahead 1-2 and almost lost Suzuki, but then gets the weak contact for the out. Maybe the ship’s rudder is regaining its navigation bearings.
I didn’t think I would ever say this but why are we taking Hicks out? He was rolling and the pitch count wasn’t bad.
I think they used him yesterday, gscottar, and he was at 26 pitches tonight. At any rate, it worked out. Edit…Nope, I was wrong. Hicks saw no work on Sunday.
I’m just enjoying having a chance to win consecutive games, but Bling alluded to the fact that the BP is going to contain a lot of crispy critters if a couple of the members of the rotation don’t begin to offer up more than 4 or 5 innings of work. It’s simply not sustainable for too much longer.
Nice win tonight. We finally win a series opener! And we have won two games in a row! And of course it is always fun to beat the dastardly Cubs.
Picked up a game on the Cubbies, but no help from the Dodgers or Rockies. And, oh yeah, picked up a half game of ground on the idle Reds. Not too bad.
Season just started Spring Training over now!
Exactly, so we have a 10 game handicap. The lesser teams have to have hope.
Nice to beat the Cubbies. Nice to get 2 in a row. And nice to finally win an opener. Maybe we needed all these distractions to take our minds off losing? Whatever it is, tonight’s product looked a lot crisper. Good even other than Mikolas struggling to put guys away for the first 2 innings. But at least he didn’t give up and hung in there.
