Anybody know why Caray isn’t in the booth with Edmonds this series?
I don’t know, Euro, but I read that it was a planned deal prior to the start of the season. Probably a simple vacation.
It’s nice to not have a save situation and post a W, but no Cardinal pitcher has been credited with a save since April 12th.

I think it was just a pre-scheduled weekend off. I read somewhere that Ackerman would get a few games this year.

Pirates down 5-0 in the 5th, Cubs tied 3-3 in the 10th, Reds down 11-1 in the 3rd, Brewers up 3-2 in the 4th. I can’t recall ever having to climb over all 4 teams in the NLC. Oh well, “That’s no hill for a climber.”
When Goldy ripped the 2 run tater in the 8th, I couldn’t recall ever being so grateful for a couple of insurance runs with a 10-6 lead…
Nice to see the 3 taters from Goldy today, but he’s got 14 doubles. That’s a heck of a lot of doubles for May 7th.
