Those 2 runs are looking pretty good for ATL right now.
April 3, 2023 at 8:59 pm #215465Nick Anderson did a fantastic job of hitting all the edges/corners and moving the ball around. Very tough on us. Glad we’re likely getting someone else next.
April 3, 2023 at 9:00 pm #215466It’s becoming apparent the Cards’ pattern is to lose the series opener, but win the next two. That explains why Matz didn’t start tonight.
April 3, 2023 at 9:01 pm #215467Looks like they are just letting Hicks pitch through his issues. But he’s starting to really run up his pitch count.
April 3, 2023 at 9:01 pm #215468Very insightful Euro!
April 3, 2023 at 9:04 pm #215469I abhor the fairy tale make believe baserunner, but I’ll take one tonight.
April 3, 2023 at 9:05 pm #215470Arica and Acuna both did Jordan a favor swinging at his first pitch. Down goes his ERA. He’ll be under 10 one of these days!
April 3, 2023 at 9:06 pm #215471This is our big chance of an inning guys
April 3, 2023 at 9:06 pm #2154721td we have played 4 games so far and Hicks has pitched in 3! If he pitches in 75% of our games this year I’ll be certifiably insane by the end of the season! Lol!
April 3, 2023 at 9:09 pm #215473Yeah, I guess they thought it would help for Hicks to leave with a scoreless inning to help him feel much better about things. If he had given up more runs, it couldn’t have hurt his psyche much because you know he already felt terrible. But they better not let him pitch another one so he will have the scoreless inning as his takeaway.
April 3, 2023 at 9:09 pm #215474That’s not so bad, Steve60…I’ll have to buy new furniture!
April 3, 2023 at 9:10 pm #215475Need 2 runs in the 8th the make it plausible.
April 3, 2023 at 9:12 pm #215476Edman needs to hang around Donovan more.
April 3, 2023 at 9:12 pm #215477Yep, and 5 would make it happiable…
April 3, 2023 at 9:15 pm #215478They continue to throw low breakers to Burly
April 3, 2023 at 9:16 pm #215479And then he gets called out on ball 3.
April 3, 2023 at 9:17 pm #215480Yeah, you just knew he wasn’t going to see a fastball after his last AB.
April 3, 2023 at 9:17 pm #215481The last 10 pitches in a row to Burleson were all out of the zone and 9 of the 10 were below the zone. And zero fastballs.
April 3, 2023 at 9:19 pm #215482If I were a big league scout I think I just saw how to get Big Alec out without throwing a strike! He seems unable to stay off the breaking ball down in the zone! If I were he I would expect to see they pitch a lot the next few weeks are so!
April 3, 2023 at 9:21 pm #2154831TD, furniture? Mine is already gone after watching these pitchers for 4 games! The offense makes it fun though!
April 3, 2023 at 9:23 pm #215484That K looking was questionable, but with 2 strikes, more times than not they punch out a young upstart hitter. Pujols has that pitch go his way…
April 3, 2023 at 9:23 pm #215485On the plus side, we’ve outhit the Braves. But all those early homers really hurt us.
April 3, 2023 at 9:24 pm #215486Steve60…I glued an end table and came out okay on it, but couldn’t salvage the lamp…
April 3, 2023 at 9:29 pm #215487Will they pinch hit for Gorman against the lefty?
April 3, 2023 at 9:31 pm #215488Does Walker tie it with a grand salami?
