Haven’t figured out din din for tonight. Not very hungry. Still have indigestion from last night’s game. Would like to see someone take a big bite out of the Phillie Phanatic, though.

One thing I do disagree with Ollie on is this business batting Albert 2nd and Donovan 5th. They should be flipped, especially with a tough righty on the mound.

The fate of mankind rests on the shoulders of the chosen 9 (and Miles) and I notice that 5 of the 9 came up through the Cardinals system from day 1 of their pro career. Noot, Donovan, Edman, Yadi and Pujols. Another, Yepez, has been in the org since low A, having been the take when we traded away The Sultan of Slippery Rock. Only Goldy, NA and tricky Dickerson are mercenaries. Not a bad showing. But we are 0 for 3 with homegrowns in the rotation.

Well, it’s just slipped past midnight my time and I’m about to slip into the feathers with the hope I’ll awaken to the sweet news that our birds live to fight at least one more day.

    Rah Cardinals!

Well, the 3+ hour drive is over and we are in the stadium. Found our seats down the third base line and watching some batting practice.

Pujols in the 2 hole again!!!

Edman needed to be moved up in the order.

WTF is out manager doing? He have money on the series?

Pretty sure Mikolas will have to throw a shutout for us to win.

Taking into account that this is an elimination game, I hope that Marmol sees to it that someone’s loose and ready by the time the “home of the brave” portion of the national anthem has ended. The BP area should be SRO.

I have a hard time understanding how Marmol can’t see that he’s utilized the talent of Albert Pujols almost to perfection all season long and then when it counts the most, he scuttles his successful approach. And then the entire absence of logic and reasoning is compounded by swapping the placement in the order with Donovan.

Albert has the best numbers on the team vs Nola. At least he’s following Noot who gets on.

The Yankees usually hit Judge second, so maybe the currently hip algo says do that.

Pretty sure Donovan reaches base at a better rate than Nootz.

We aren’t facing mlb today. We’re facing Nola.

Bling…The fashionable trend of slotting power at the top of the order has been around for a minute or two. Goldy in the 2 slot used to bother me. It’s probably the primary reason that guys like Schwarber tater-up 46 times and only collect 94 RBI’s.

1-0 Cleveland over Tampa Bay in 15 innings. Somebody hit a walkoff wanger.

TD1, you give Marmol too much leash. He’s third in a line of zero mlb experience StL managers who are planted there to do as they are told. If you don’t it’s called philosophical differences and you get the boot, #4 is on deck and waiting.

I’m disgusted. I started hating LaRussa when he left Ankiel in when he had completely lost control of his stuff. Now this manager does the same damn thing TWICE in one week!

I really feel our season is over

jjcfstl…I like Marmol, but that doesn’t constitute agreeing with every decision he makes. And it’s my firm belief that he made multiple decisions yesterday that were, to put it mildly, questionable.

Things are tough all over. Toronto now trails Seattle 10-9 in the home half of the 9th after tossing a 7-1 7th inning lead into the fire.

Yesterday Gallegos was the beginning of the debacle, but Mo just emptied a dump truck full of cash on his lawn, so we will probably see him again tonight. Same sort of reason we are dragging the DeJong anchor instead of having Sosa.

LaGrand…Well, that may be, but the Redbirds beat Maddux and won that game along with sweeping that 2000 NLDS.
