March 16, 2022 at 10:37 am #180835Hopefully, Cardinal in France will kick off this year’s “What’s For Din-din” feature with what’s on tap on the dinner table in the south of France this coming Saturday evening. Looking forward to everyone else’s din-din delights as well. I can’t begin to tell you how many culinary ideas from you guys that I had the wifey cook up over this past winter. Bon appetit gang!

MrperkinsParticipantHaven’t had time to check recently…is Bally contracted with any of the streaming services this year?

ParticipantKind of hard to believe we are playing games already. I hope they really take it easy on the pitchers early on.

ParticipantNo din-din please. Not baseball related.
March 17, 2022 at 7:07 pm #180981As far as I can see Ballys is only with DirectTV Stream at this time
. I vowed I would not be forced to switch. But I’m weak. Switching tomorrow.March 17, 2022 at 11:54 pm #180995Oh to the contraire, Cranny! You’ll be getting more than your fair share of din-dins on 2022 game threads…..and if memory serves me correctly, over the years, you’ve chimmed in with a culinary revelation or two yourself.
March 18, 2022 at 1:19 pm #181010Andrew Knizner hit the first home run of the spring. Two run shot increases the STL lead to 4-1.

ParticipantI didn’t realize they were starting today, thought tomorrow. Jimmy ball game is one of the announcers, thought I read he wasn’t coming back. Glad to see he’s back
March 18, 2022 at 2:19 pm #181014Edmonds is a dull and boring announcer. I wish he wasn’t back. I wish they would bring Hrabosky to the TV booth.
Sad thing is there is no Erica Weston this year, boo!

MrperkinsParticipantKnizners shot was yanked down the line, barely fair. I thought all the pitchers looked ok. I don’t know what Libertore was trying when he got busted on the throw over/balk. It was definitely not a smooth attempt. Announcer said Libertore was hitting 96. Yepez looked content to watch a lot of pitches go by, most of them off the plate. As expected, the hitters on both sides were late on a lot of fastballs. DeJongs hit was a bullet liner up the middle. Gorman’s first at bat was vs a lefty. It looked at sounded like he hit it well to CF but it was towering and 10mph wind in. Burleson just missed a nice double down left field line ruled foul. I hear Arenedo had a nice play early but I missed it. Noone stood out good or bad defensively.

MrperkinsParticipantThis was from watching MLB app free on phone for spring training
March 18, 2022 at 4:17 pm #181022Hey, I didn’t know we were playing today til I saw it on this thread. Great to see Waino. Damn, it feels good to see some baseball.

ParticipantI want my announcers to give me actual qualified information. That’s why I like Jimmy ballgame. He may be dull to some but not me. Al was pretty good but I don’t see him ever coming back to actual games.
March 18, 2022 at 7:33 pm #181028My wife will be out of town this weekend, so nobody wants to hear about my din-din Saturday.
March 19, 2022 at 12:42 pm #181060bccran
ParticipantHave never joined in the din-din discussion. Surprised Brian allows it.
March 19, 2022 at 2:45 pm #181063Game threads have always had a social aspect cranny.
March 20, 2022 at 4:51 am #181083You’re getting old, Cranny. The kid is still in there……release him, Cranny…..and experience a bit of the 70’s yet once again.
March 20, 2022 at 7:09 am #18108440-man pitchers on the travel roster behind Mikolas: VerHagen, McAllister, Wittgren, Fernández, Quezada, Walsh

March 20, 2022 at 8:51 am #181089I hope Mikolas can stay healthy this year. This spring should tell that tale.
March 20, 2022 at 3:26 pm #181103The Cards beat the Mets 6-4 on Sunday. Big days for Carlson and Nootbaar.
Here are the upcoming games:
Mon 3/21 at WSH 6:05 ET LHP Steven Matz vs. RHP Erick Fedde, MASN/MLB.TV and KMOX
Tue 3/22 vs. MIA 1:05 ET RHP Dakota Hudson vs. LHP Jesús Luzardo, Bally and KMOX
Wed 3/23 at HOU 1:05 ET RHP Adam Wainwright (0-0, 4.50) vs. TBA, no TV and KMOXMarch 20, 2022 at 10:15 pm #181118Really curious what Trent Baker hás shown in campo tô earn a ML Spring training appearance. Especially this early.
March 21, 2022 at 6:01 am #181122I Now see that Baker is an NRI tô Major league camp. But the question remains of why? Potential? Contractual? Seems very odd.
March 21, 2022 at 7:06 pm #181142bccran
ParticipantSeems like Dickerson and Nootbaar are a slight upgrade over Thomas, Williams, Dean, and Hurst.
March 21, 2022 at 11:14 pm #181150Scherzer went 5 innings for the Mets today. Seems a little early.
