Ran it full…
September 25, 2022 at 3:31 pm #202340Muncy just hit a scorching line drive with the bases load. Fortunately it was right at Goldy. Maybe that’s what Wainwright needs to settle into a decent game. If he can get the last out, giving up just run in the 1st will be a good outcome.

stlcard25ParticipantWe need Waino right for October. Right now, he’s a liability in the rotation.
September 25, 2022 at 3:33 pm #202342That’s awful, Adam.
September 25, 2022 at 3:34 pm #202343Pugs, with Nen for the win.
September 25, 2022 at 3:36 pm #202344Never like to see a bases jammed BB, but I had a bad feeling when Adam ran the count full. Could have been a lot worse if he’d have laid one in there to Gallo on that 3-2 pitch.
September 25, 2022 at 3:37 pm #202345A hint on question #2…Although the correct answer isn’t Kyle Lohse who entered the game as a PH’er and laid down a huge sac-bunt
Oh, got to be Westbrook then right?
September 25, 2022 at 3:39 pm #202346Neither pitcher getting the low call.
September 25, 2022 at 3:39 pm #202347Cards667…That’s right, but I already posted the answers…Haha!
September 25, 2022 at 3:43 pm #202348I’d have to say that in second place after my favorite team, that the Dodgers have the best home white uniforms in the NL.
September 25, 2022 at 3:47 pm #2023491td, when it comes to uniforms, classic is usually good.
September 25, 2022 at 3:49 pm #202350Great to see the Cards claw back early. Wouldn’t be surprised if Adam settles in now and we have a good game.
September 25, 2022 at 3:49 pm #202351EuroDandy…I agree. NY and BOS in the AL with an honorable mention to DET.
September 25, 2022 at 4:03 pm #202352Adam struggling again in the 2nd. Up to 47 pitches after walking Freeman. Cut out the walks!
September 25, 2022 at 4:08 pm #202353Euro…Yep, all the counts are deep ones.
September 25, 2022 at 4:18 pm #202354Yep, deep counts. Adam struggling with dead arm means he doesn’t trust his stuff, so he nibbles more. Fortunately J Turner struck himself out to end the 2nd on the 3-2 pitch that was out of the zone. That would’ve loaded the bases.
September 25, 2022 at 4:22 pm #202355Euro…Yeah, it could certainly be worse. The count that worried me was when he ran it full to Gallo with the bases loaded and 2 outs in the 1st. BB and a run, but I was afraid he was going to lay one in there. Bang! Bases clearing double with the runners moving…Haha!
September 25, 2022 at 4:23 pm #202356Cards667…That’s right, but I already posted the answers…Haha!
I didn’t see that until after I replied.
September 25, 2022 at 4:24 pm #202357Yeah, the stuff isn’t there. Its hard to watch.
September 25, 2022 at 4:24 pm #202358Give LA some credit. They’ve hit some decent pitches.
September 25, 2022 at 4:30 pm #202359Didn’t Adam say a week ago that he basically had a dead arm? Why in the world is he on the hill instead of resting up for the playoffs?
September 25, 2022 at 4:31 pm #202360Cards667…Haha! I didn’t think you did. You also aced the first one! I wasn’t aware of Aaron wearing #5 in his rookie season until a couple of days ago regarding question #3. I thought it’d be a good one to throw out there. Thought someone may get it. I once answered correctly on Molina once wearing #41 when he first broke in with the Cardinals. He actually wore that number in his first WS game in 2004 when LaRussa gave him a start in place of Matheny in Game 4 of that WS.
September 25, 2022 at 4:33 pm #202361More trouble for Wainwright in the 3rd, giving up one run. Up to 74 pitches. If dead arm is really the issue, it doesn’t make sense to keep going with him this game after 74 tosses. Next man up. And give him more rest before his next start, and focus on some off-day routines to help the issue.
September 25, 2022 at 4:34 pm #202362I found this tweet from last night.
#STLCards manager Oliver Marmol said he and his staff gave thought to giving RHP Adam Wainwright (arm fatigue) an additional day of rest before his next start. After consulting with the veteran pitcher, Wainwright will start on Sunday vs. the #Dodgers.

September 25, 2022 at 4:36 pm #202363I wasn’t really too concerned about Goldy’s slide until this afternoon. I saw him swing and miss a pitch earlier in this ballgame. I don’t think I’ve ever seen him as late on a pitch as the one he was late on today.
