    Hope taking Q out wasn’t a mistake.
I would hsve let him get the ginal out in the inning.

Willie82…Oh, I agree. The entire thing gives off a real bad odor.

It seemed odd to take Q out when they did for another lefty. Did he reach some pitch count limit they have set for him?

Edit to add. I see Tscurlo with the same thought.

EuroDandy…Quint worked 101 pitches. His ERA as a Cardinal at this point is 2.14.

I just saw where pujols has 466 homeruns with Cardinals, just 9 shy of Musial. Pretty awesome considering how much time he was with other teams. I know Musial was a far more well rounded hitter and didn’t try to just be a power hitter but still incredible.

Crazy how we are tearing up dodgers but couldn’t hardly get a piece of a ball against far weaker teams and pitchers

I wasn’t keeping up with the pitch count. Obviously they don’t want him going over 100.

Maybe we should have saved some of these runs for the next two games. Haha

You know, I mentioned Kenny Boyer only as a result of Nado surpassing Boyer’s Cardinal team record and it got me to thinking…If Santo’s a HOF’er, why not Boyer? If you ever get a chance, compare their careers side by side and see what you think.

Not sure I’ll ever be comfortable with a position player pitching in a game that you’re winning.

Why not let Albert close it? I bet he’d be the only player to ever close a game on the mound while hitting career homeruns 699 & 700. It would make a great trivia question for a game thread 20 years from now.

And now Dickerson fails to cover 1B on a grounder. Never let that guy pitch again.

I feel kinda bad for Burleson. Some major leaguers get to end up telling their grandkids they hit their 1st big league homer off Kershaw, Wainwright, Scherzer, etc. He’ll have to tell his grandkids he hit his first one off Hanser Alberto, a backup utility infielder.

Baseball can be a strange game. We go 31 innings without a run then put up an 11 spot against the best team in baseball. Go figure.

My Apple TV was working just fine tonight!

11-0, nice. I see Noot, Yepez and Burly tatered. And Dickerson pitched. Too bad I missed it.

I’m psyched that Albert got 700….a bit bummed that I missed both. Still, I’ll take the big win on the road in LA. This team likes the lefties. Haha

Burleson will be the answer to a trivia question one day, it seems. Hitting #1 in the same day that Albert hit #699 and 700 must be pretty special.

But, but, he can’t hit righties.

Funny I’ve been watching ESPN and Fox and neither channel or channels have even mentioned Albert getting 700. Pure disrespect. If judge would have got 61, it would have been everywhere. Not saying he doesn’t deserve it but pujols should be given proper respect

Exactly why they were saying Pujols 700 ball probably only goes for about $100,000 at auction and Judge 62 will go for $2.5 million, maybe more. Bonds 700 went for $85,000.
