6:45 p.m.
RHP Adam Wainwright (10-9, 3.33) vs. TBA
BSM // FOX Sports 1 // KMOX // WIJR
Also BSSE and BSSW+September 14, 2022 at 7:32 am #200487
stlcard25ParticipantWaino in the stopper role is a familiar spot…what isn’t familiar is that he’ll be facing Burnes. Waino hasn’t been so good lately, so we’ll see if he can find something tonight. A win would be huge, obviously, after last night’s effort.
On Burnes’ end, he had a couple of rough outings against the Pirates and Dbacks, but was much better against San Fran. Hopefully he’s a little bit off tonight.
September 14, 2022 at 8:02 am #200490Win today and it’s back to square one for the Brewers.
September 14, 2022 at 11:53 am #200497A loss today and the momentum is all on the Brewers side. It would be doom city. That would mean a six game lead and then more than likely Cincinnati would come in and either sweep us in the five game series or win four. Our lead by close of business on Sunday will probably be about two games. Then that killer west coast trip against the Padres and Dodgers. I’ve been dreading it all year long.
September 14, 2022 at 12:24 pm #200498What is wrong with you putting negative crap on here every day?
September 14, 2022 at 1:43 pm #200500Haha!…Ratsbuddy may be right! These sorts of catastrophic tailspins can be incredibly difficult to pull out of before the disatrous impact…All jokes aside, “youneverknow.”
September 14, 2022 at 1:47 pm #200502We could use a win, but it is not that big of a deal if we lose. We swept those guys late last year during our hot streak and still they won the division by several games.
It will be the same this year, only with us winning by several games.
September 14, 2022 at 2:03 pm #200505There’s an article in today’s local media outlet regarding slanderous comments from some guy who works for ESPN named Max (Sally) Kellerman. Apparently this guy has clearly implied that the recent tremendous performance by the Great Albert Pujols in his quest to achieve 700 HR’s has been fueled by something more than amazing talent, dedication and hard work. Hmmm…I’m contemplating sending someone to talk to this guy and find out precisely what it is that motivates him to work his mouth in the manner that he seems to think is okay simply to garner himself a bit of attention…
September 14, 2022 at 2:52 pm #200507I see no reason to panic. The reality is that the Brewers have a very slim chance of overtaking the Cards for the NLC crown. The Brewers do still have a chance of chasing down the Padres or Phillies for that final wild card spot though. If they do end up being the sixth seed they would play the third seed, which will most likely be the Cardinals. That could be interesting.
September 14, 2022 at 3:30 pm #200511Dom…Kellerman is well within his rights to “smell a rat”. Albert has had a DECADE of suck and suddenly becomes better than he ever was in the “steroid era”
Take the blinders off. Do you think everybody now is clean? And how do you pick which ones are not? By what team you root for, (like the Tatis, Braun and Votto fans?)

ParticipantGameCard, that negative crap does get old. Tongue in cheek or not, it is silly and boring.
September 14, 2022 at 3:34 pm #200513Well, now…….if it is indeed found out that Pujols is a doper what is everyone going to think about that?
My opinion is that surely Albert could not be dumb enough to do that. Right???
September 14, 2022 at 3:40 pm #200514Game Card: What is wrong with you putting negative crap on here every day?
Rats seems to be a glass half empty guy. What’s wrong with that? There’s enough cheerleaders around here, doncha think?
September 14, 2022 at 3:59 pm #200515If you expect the worst, you won’t be disappointed. You will actually be somewhat happy when the worst doesn’t happen. I am trying to make everyone happy. C’mon be happy!
September 14, 2022 at 4:03 pm #200517No, LeG…I find everyday negativity to be tedious. Go to a Brewer board if you want to say stuff like that.
September 14, 2022 at 4:37 pm #2005181. Edman – SS
2. Dickerson – LF
3. Goldschmidt – 1B
4. Arenado – 3B
5. Donovan – 2B
6. Pujols – DH
7. Burleson- RF
8. Molina – C
9. Nootbaar – CFSeptember 14, 2022 at 4:38 pm #200519I guess we’re just going to play Pujols every day until he gets 700???
September 14, 2022 at 4:41 pm #200520Probably
September 14, 2022 at 4:44 pm #200522I hope our OF defense is ok tonight. That is an interesting group out there.
September 14, 2022 at 4:49 pm #200524Dickerson is hitting almost what the other two are combined.
September 14, 2022 at 4:51 pm #200526
jj-cf-stlParticipantThe Noot in CF with Dickerson and Burleson on the corners. Yah, that’s interesting.
Oli went with a L/R stagger, 4 thru 9.
September 14, 2022 at 4:52 pm #200527Defensively Dickerson is average, Noot is untested in CF, and Burleson is more known for his bat instead of his glove.
September 14, 2022 at 5:12 pm #200529We will need some taters tonight.
September 14, 2022 at 5:19 pm #200531gscottar…I guess average is fair concerning Dickerson’s glove work, but I’ve seen him take some really bad first steps in his routes to the baseball this season in LF that have cost some runs. I’ve also noticed that he often seems to have trouble on the glove to throwing hand exchange. At any rate, he was awarded a GG in ’18, and I sure haven’t seen a GG calibre OF’er. But yeah, I’d also say average is a fair assessment.

stlcard25ParticipantDickerson has been a perfectly fine pickup. He’s used in proper positions, for sure. The one thing that’s a bit difficult is that he’s allergic to walks lately. I probably would let him walk after the year as I think Burleson can provide all that he does. Hopefully he’s got a few clutch hits in him before he moves on, though.
