Could be with all the deliberate walks for Goldy maybe hes losing his edge. Nado not a threat today either. 3 and 4 not getting it done today.
Nats hitting .424 on the game. Tough to win when your pitching staff is a revolving door. The offense could still step up but it’s a lot to ask for late heroics two days in a row.

I guess splitting with a AAA team is acceptable. Brian was certainly right that the team didn’t exactly put their best foot forward to give themselves a shot today.
We didn’t have our best lineup out there, but today was about our pitching, and we didn’t hold back on that.
I recognize that the chances to come back are minimal, but it sure seems odd to pinch hit for your two best hitters after the first two got aboard. Especially with such an automatic out as Dejong.
