Donovan and Edman set the table again, but no runs in the 6th. Pen needs to hold now.

Hicks walks Voit. Can’t seem to get that guy out. Leadoff walks are never a good thing.

Goldy with a first inning RBI today, but 7 LOB. He normally shoves those guys across HP.

Wooster…If it’s okay with you, from now on I’m going to describe an errant throw as a “gyrocopter.” Haha!

Could be with all the deliberate walks for Goldy maybe hes losing his edge. Nado not a threat today either. 3 and 4 not getting it done today.

Nats hitting .424 on the game. Tough to win when your pitching staff is a revolving door. The offense could still step up but it’s a lot to ask for late heroics two days in a row.

That’s a good one TD1. Nados got that spinning jump move moving to his right but when that gyros off the throw goes sailing. That’s the hot corner at third and you gotta be quick
    Nobody stops em all.

Nado hasn’t been getting any breaks on those missles to the left side. He’s had several like that the past few games.

Wooster…Oh, I know. I just got a good laugh at how you described it and thought that gyrocopter would be the perfect way to describe an errant throw that sails out of control like a gyrocopter. Haha!

What an ugly performance today — for the series as a whole, really. Lucky to get a split.

I guess splitting with a AAA team is acceptable. Brian was certainly right that the team didn’t exactly put their best foot forward to give themselves a shot today.

They were lucky to get the split. Pujols should not be in against righties. Period. End of story

We didn’t have our best lineup out there, but today was about our pitching, and we didn’t hold back on that.

I recognize that the chances to come back are minimal, but it sure seems odd to pinch hit for your two best hitters after the first two got aboard. Especially with such an automatic out as Dejong.

Then Washington adds another puzzler by bringing in the righty to face Dickerson.
