Great rebound after the first 2 in this series. Looking good now for the next 2. Homers and alot of runs tonight. Nado really sprang back after the first game. Woodford with an impressive start.
It’s a winner! Go Cardinals!So far, so good on getting through the double header without burning up your bullpen. Thanks to Montgomerys gem, Waino’s 6, and Woodford’s solid outing the bullpen is well rested, and all of key relievers could be used Wednesday and/or Thursday. I hope Helsleys wife has their baby.
bccran…Atl. now only 2 games off the pace in the NLE. Without question those 3 games this weekend will be a genuine acid test for the Cardinals.
Knizner continues his positive trend with a single, BB and HBP. On base 3 of 5 PA’s. Nothing sensational, but he is contributing now.
His first half was a 62 ops+ and his 2nd half is currently a 108 ops+ in 51 PA’s. Overall in 2022 a 75 ops+
Based on his minors track record, I expected Knizner to be a plus bat (for a catcher) with middling skills behind the plate. So far he’s not done much with the bat. Hopefully this is the start of him turning the corner.
We have to hope for the best with Knizner since there isn’t really any plan B right now. Yadi’s batting line is appalling. And he’s only walked 4 times in 192 PAs. How is that even possible.
Nice win, although would have been good to split those 13 tallies a little more even and take two.
Woodford with his usual fine work. Olllie could have stuck with him longer even, but had a bit of a quick hook.
