Well great inning there, probably should have had another run. Hopefully that doesn’t come back to haunt us. Hopefully Jake can throw a few more shutout innings though Jake usually gives up a couple runs which would still be great if he can get us through 6 innings.
82willie…Yeah, if Woodford doesn’t allow any runs in his first turn this season, a few of the folks on here will be ready to fit him for a red jacket…
Also, is a 5 game series with a double header MLBs new trend when we visit Chicago?
Is one of these games a make-up game, for a rainout that happened earlier in the season with the Cubs?
Nope…. the August 3rd game was a rainout…. and they made it up on Thursday in St. Louis.

Tscurlo…Pretty sure it’s a result of the late start to the season, but I can recall a time when a 5 game series wasn’t at all an uncommon part a regular season schedule.

Woodford really looking good so far. I always loved going to double headers at the ballpark. Day game then a night one.

Despite the tater, I’ve never seen Eddie scuffle for this long. Need to get him back into a consistent hitting pattern.
Donovan has been our unsung mvp this year in my opinion. Solid hitter, can play lots of places. When we were having lots of injuries, he really solidified things.
Goldy has suddenly kind of cooled off. Could just be a bad night. Just hasn’t looked great at the plate.
Sure took OT a while to dig that baseball out of the corner. Couldn’t see on the camera angle, but guessing it have got snagged up in plant life.
