Once through the order with 2 dingers and 5 runs! YOWZA broke the ice!
August 23, 2022 at 8:26 pm #197324gscottar…I’d say so too.

ParticipantWell great inning there, probably should have had another run. Hopefully that doesn’t come back to haunt us. Hopefully Jake can throw a few more shutout innings though Jake usually gives up a couple runs which would still be great if he can get us through 6 innings.
August 23, 2022 at 8:29 pm #197326Woody at 54 pitches through 4 innings. So far, so good.
August 23, 2022 at 8:31 pm #197327Haha…There he is!
Late to the party…time zone mix-up
August 23, 2022 at 8:32 pm #19732882willie…Yeah, if Woodford doesn’t allow any runs in his first turn this season, a few of the folks on here will be ready to fit him for a red jacket…
August 23, 2022 at 8:33 pm #197329Also, is a 5 game series with a double header MLBs new trend when we visit Chicago?
Is one of these games a make-up game, for a rainout that happened earlier in the season with the Cubs?
Nope…. the August 3rd game was a rainout…. and they made it up on Thursday in St. Louis.
Just found it.
August 23, 2022 at 8:41 pm #197330Rooney smells the coffee brewing
August 23, 2022 at 8:43 pm #197331Tscurlo…Pretty sure it’s a result of the late start to the season, but I can recall a time when a 5 game series wasn’t at all an uncommon part a regular season schedule.
August 23, 2022 at 8:48 pm #197332Thompson said, “Just over Goldy”…I’m not sure if he’d have been able to get to that throw if he’d have been in a helicopter.
August 23, 2022 at 8:50 pm #197333Woodford really looking good so far. I always loved going to double headers at the ballpark. Day game then a night one.
August 23, 2022 at 8:52 pm #197334Edman dinger!
August 23, 2022 at 8:52 pm #1973351982 willie
ParticipantWell I was going to talk about edmans numbers kind of free falling but then he decides to put one over the fence. Nice job, tommy.
August 23, 2022 at 8:52 pm #197336Dickerson doubled in Gorman last inning too!
August 23, 2022 at 8:54 pm #197337Despite the tater, I’ve never seen Eddie scuffle for this long. Need to get him back into a consistent hitting pattern.
August 23, 2022 at 8:54 pm #197338
stlcard25ParticipantGood to see Edman get in on the act. We could use a hot bat from Tommy down the stretch.
August 23, 2022 at 8:56 pm #197339
stlcard25ParticipantBoth Nootbaar and Donovan have OBP over .400 their last 30 games. That’ll get an offense flowing.

ParticipantDonovan has been our unsung mvp this year in my opinion. Solid hitter, can play lots of places. When we were having lots of injuries, he really solidified things.
August 23, 2022 at 8:58 pm #19734112 hits so far tonight with the only 2 K’s laid on our best hitter.
August 23, 2022 at 8:59 pm #1973421982 willie
ParticipantGoldy has suddenly kind of cooled off. Could just be a bad night. Just hasn’t looked great at the plate.
August 23, 2022 at 9:01 pm #197343willie82…You ain’t kidding. Donovan’s been a stack of found money this season.
August 23, 2022 at 9:10 pm #197344Sure took OT a while to dig that baseball out of the corner. Couldn’t see on the camera angle, but guessing it have got snagged up in plant life.
August 23, 2022 at 9:13 pm #19734582willie…Yeah, Goldy’s starting to look like he may be from this planet. He’ll get back on the tater-rocket before too long.
August 23, 2022 at 9:17 pm #197346Nice transition by Stratton for Woodford. Keep it rollin’. Yeah Donovans absolutely a gamer. Scrappy at the plate.
August 23, 2022 at 9:21 pm #197347Despite O’Neill’s struggles this season, he’s collected 43 RBI’s in only 268 AB’s. That’s not too bad at all.
