Well Woodford has looked good though I always felt he deserved a shot. He’s not great but he ain’t bad. I’d like to see one more inning or at least attempt it. No rest this week.
Let’s take a quick gander at the Gasthof restaurant out-of-town scoreboard shall we?
Looks like pitching duels dominating tonight’s action. In Washington, the Nats are clinging to an 18-1 advantage as they move to the 9th. Soto, Bell, Barrera, Turner, Sota again and even Jon Lester have all gone yard. Boston leads Toronto in the 7th 13-4. Duran, Renfroe, Hernandez (twice), Devers and Santana have homered for the BoSox and Craig Biggio’s son has homered for Toronto. In the bottom of the 7th in the Motor City, Detroit is lambasting Texas 14-0. Baddoo owns the game’s lone dinger. Mets-Reds knotted at 7 in the bottom of the 7th in the Queens City.
You’re right willie. I wish Goldy would hit as consistently as his prime years, but his defense is consistently game-saving. The man is rock solid on defense.
