Garcia limits the damage to 1 run. 2-1 going to the 9th.

ParticipantWell we gave up one run. Still tight. Can we get some extra runs here in the 9th.
September 21, 2021 at 9:39 pm #173063Shildt with much confidence for Garcia…..who by the way kind of looks like Jaime Garcia. Wonder where Jaime is now? That would be a great feature for Brian, UCONN and BicycleMike to run weekly……”Where Are They Now”.
September 21, 2021 at 9:42 pm #173064Would be great to see Garcia get two days off after this. Good job to limit the damage there
September 21, 2021 at 9:45 pm #173065I want these next 10 minutes to be eerily quiet in Milwaukee.
September 21, 2021 at 9:50 pm #1730661982 willie
ParticipantGetting too interesting now.
September 21, 2021 at 9:53 pm #173067He’ll be safe at 1st on the replay
September 21, 2021 at 9:55 pm #173068Ump missed the call at first on Cain. You don’t often see a call that bad. I wonder if the umps have a 2 beer per inning limit in Milwaukee.
September 21, 2021 at 9:56 pm #1730693 beer limit per half inning in Milwaukee, Euro
September 21, 2021 at 9:56 pm #173070I’ve noticed Gallegos becomes very slow and deliberate with runners on base. He doesn’t seem to do as well with that approach. Just pitch, darn it.
September 21, 2021 at 9:57 pm #173071Getting too interesting. I remember when we used to play a lot more of these games (where i cared this much and the save never came easy)
September 21, 2021 at 9:57 pm #173072Gotta get Uranis here.
September 21, 2021 at 9:59 pm #173073I think maybe Cabby needs to be handed the ball in the 9th innings for a spell. A very good chance Cabby never has to hand the ball back.
September 21, 2021 at 10:00 pm #173074Gallegos is tight as a drum. Quit taking 2 minutes between pitches!
September 21, 2021 at 10:01 pm #173075I literally would surrender both pinky fingers for a trailer made 6-4-3 here.

ParticipantGallegos just makes this harder than it should be. Starts taking forever and just doesn’t trust his stuff and gets behind trying to make perfect pitches. I just don’t trust him in these situations anymore. He may get the save but it won’t change my mind. I think him and Reyes would both be better in earlier innings.
September 21, 2021 at 10:02 pm #173077Wow, Cards put winning run on 2nd by walking a slumping Yelich. Let’s see how this strategy works out!
September 21, 2021 at 10:04 pm #173078Thats right Euro- wgen he slows down like that he does not do as well
September 21, 2021 at 10:05 pm #173079In this situation I’d move the right fielder in behind the catcher to thwart any runs via wild pitches.
September 21, 2021 at 10:05 pm #1730801982 willie
ParticipantThis should end here at 2 and 2 not full count
September 21, 2021 at 10:05 pm #173081Gallegos handles Reyes like he should’ve handled the entire inning. Just throw your stuff. Cards squeak one out.
September 21, 2021 at 10:06 pm #17308210 in a row! More exciting than I would of liked. However, a win is a win!
September 21, 2021 at 10:06 pm #1730831982 willie
Participant10 in a row, the hard way.
September 21, 2021 at 10:07 pm #173084
stlcard25ParticipantShildt gonna need a wheelbarrow to walk around the clubhouse tonight. Way to finish it off, Gio!!
September 21, 2021 at 10:07 pm #173085You guys just need to have a little confidence in Mr. Gallegos.
