And on cue, Cabby sets the Crew down in order in the 7th…..two of them via the K. Still 1-0 Cards as we mozzy along to the 8th.

    You’re a funny man, Euro!

Milwaukee doesn’t have much foul territory there in deep right field

I think the only way Reyes becomes that #1 starter is if he dials back on his fastball and learns to pitch, like Waino.

Ironically, Forsch, Reyes’ pitches might garner even more movement if he pitched a little slower. Could be a wicked combo at 93-94 mph instead of 97-98.

I don’t think the Cards will ever risk starting Reyes again, Forschster. He physically just did not hold up going long in games.

What’s not to like about Lars Nootbaar, as he coaxes the one out 8th inning free pass off Cousins….not Kirk.

This Milwaukee pitcher has thrown only one pitch that even touched part of the plate this inning, and it was a generous strike call. Yet he struck out Bader looking and got a bad strike on Nootbar before the walk.

I think he could start if he learned to trust his pitches and movement and not nibble so much. He can physically do it but it can’t be max effort on every pitch.

Thomas Hyunsu Edman!! Another manufactured run.

Nelson continues with the wide zone for Cousins, however Edman delivers a hit to drive in Nootbaar. Score 2-0 now in the 8th.

And now for an encore, Nootbaar swiftly swipes 2nd….. let’s stay with the action for a moment shall we? Tommy Edman rifles a shot into left for a hit and Lars will motor on in with the 2nd Cardinal run…..I initially thought Edman might be ticketed for a double, but he quickly applied the brakes and just barely beat the throw back to 1st. Let’s tack on another.

Are you watching the game stlcard or looking at the graphics? I’m watching, but looked at Savant’s illustrator to confirm what I’m seeing. It’s not close to going both ways. Just a second ago, the Brewers broadcasters said they are getting a generous zone.

No extra base hits in this game….at this juncture, let’s keep it that way.

I might have kept Cabrera in another inning especially since Garcia has to be getting tired. Schildt likes to overuse pitchers when he doesn’t need to.

Pirates upend Cincy again 6-2. Phillies and Orioles knotted at 1 in the 9th and SF grabs an early 1-0 advantage over SD. This could be yet another in a long line of consecutive good Cardinal days and nights.

I’m hoping someone can post the ump rating thing from a few nights ago as brand new baby Perkins is hearing some inappropriate descriptive verbage here at the hospital.

Oh oh…..we got rid of him for all of the “Wong” reasons.

Game too interesting now. Garcia gives up a walk and double (Wong). Tying runs on, one out and a pow wow on the mound.

I don’t know why we didn’t have anybody at second. Wong wasn’t even to second base when ball came in.

I sure did Forschster. I feared that shortly after I posted it. No more extra base hits from here on in though .

Pugs, no more from you. Are trying to make us lose?

    You got lucky
