Even the beat writers are throwing the angry dogs fresh meat…
Arozarena laments are the epitome of low hanging fruit for Cardinals fans these days…
And let’s forget that later in the same 2015 draft referenced, the Cards added Bader, DeJong, Hicks and Helsley…
While all of #stlcards Nation frets about Randy Arozarena being the #RaysUp surprise leader into the #WorldSeries, would now be a good time to point out Walker Buehler was drafted 24th overall in 2015?#Cardinals had the 23rd pick.

October 23, 2020 at 9:13 pm #145390Dodgers are leading 6-1 midway through the sixth.
October 23, 2020 at 9:22 pm #145392More old school ball…
Mookie Betts’ two games with 2+ stolen bases are tied for the most such games in a single World Series
The last player to accomplish the feat was Omar Vizquel in the 1997 World Series

October 23, 2020 at 9:36 pm #145395I wouldn’t tout those four as some kind of brilliant coup by the Cardinals.
Bader is terrible
DeJong is an average player not great but average…nothing to get excited about.
Hicks has serious control issues
Helsey is good…sometimes.October 23, 2020 at 9:48 pm #145396Former Cardinal Ryan Sherriff walked a batter in a scoreless top of the seventh.
October 23, 2020 at 9:50 pm #145397Welcome back, Mr. Sunshine. You should have just called them all slugs and been your predictable self, nate.
October 23, 2020 at 10:08 pm #145400Interesting factoid that FOX just shared. With 11 postseason home runs, Justin Turner is tied for no. 1 on the Dodgers team career list. Can they let him go as a free agent?
October 23, 2020 at 10:23 pm #145402The Dodgers win 6-2 to go up, two games to one.

ParticipantRay’s offense needs to come alive.
October 24, 2020 at 11:18 am #145448Could see a lot of relievers tonight in Game 4. Julio Urias vs. Ryan Yarbrough to start. 7:08 p.m. CT on FOX.
October 24, 2020 at 12:00 pm #145455Randy Arozarena now has 52 total bases this postseason, the most of all time.

We could also remind folks that Albert Pujols was drafted in the 13TH ROUND!!!! Drafting isn’t an exact science.

It wouldn’t surprise me if Friedman brings him back on a one or two year deal. If not, the Cardinals should at least kick the tires on him.
October 24, 2020 at 1:12 pm #145468True, Tinky. Randy is a big reason the Rays are in the World Series, but he has been a non-factor through three games of the World Series. Batting .200 with one of the two hits a meaningless solo homer in the ninth last night.
October 24, 2020 at 2:02 pm #145473That’s a good point Brian.
October 24, 2020 at 2:46 pm #145474If Randy can take off again from that home run, and Lowe and perhaps Meadows or Margot get a couple of knocks the Rays can push this thing to the limit.

ParticipantSure looked good with that rocket single
up the middle in the 1st inning, BW. And his smile lights up the whole stadium.October 24, 2020 at 8:37 pm #145484bccran
ParticipantDid we really trade him?
October 24, 2020 at 8:52 pm #145485Yes we did bc….and for a pitcher…when we needed a good outfielder way more than we needed a good pitcher.
We draft well, but we don’t trade well.
October 24, 2020 at 8:59 pm #145486He’s the new Mr. October.
It’s a nightmare really.

stlcard25ParticipantNo doubt about it, Arozarena is the next Mookie Betts and the Cards just handed him away. Liberatore will probably end up Ankiel-ing his career away too. For shame, Mo.

ParticipantTinky hit the nail on the head.

ParticipantMo has to be red faced right now.
October 24, 2020 at 9:44 pm #145492Holy Smoky ……. and this kid was ours just a short time ago. By the time he reaches 28, Reggie Jackson will be renamed “Mr. September”, as baseball will have a new “Mr. October”. Two guys must be really feeling the heat from Arozarena’s ’20 heroics……Mo and Liberatore…..hope I spelled his name correctly, that’s how much he’s accomplished thus far. Let’s be fair though. Maybe the kid ends up being the next Matt Cain?
