Geesh Bader is fast….on a popup near the 2nd base bag, you almost want to give way to Bader and let him catch it.
Big City leads off the Redbird 6th with a liner into right for a hit! And Big City must want his first hit back as a Cardinal to put in his display case….lets hope it’s accompanied with the words “during a Cards 4-3 victory over the Pirates” .
Dodgers lead Texas 3-0 in the 8th and Philadelphia has taken a 7-6 8th inning lead over Washington…..don’t like those two scores. However, on the plus side, Cincy still leads Milwaukee by a deuce in the top of the 8th….10-8.
Milwaukee hits the Reds with 2 in the top of the 7th to tie it at 10. No pitching for those two clubs the last couple of nights. Like I’ve always said….If you like a lot of offense, buy yourself a box seat ticket to a Reds-Brewers game.
What was that pitcher MIke Shannon always talks about? He had a clause in his contract deducting for too many walks. So he simply hit them when counts got to 3-0 and 3-1. Does Santana have same contract language?

Milwaukee now with a late 11-10 lead and AZ with an early 1-0 lead over SF. This could be a very bad night if we don’t come back….we’d lose a game to nearly all other NL contenders plus a half game to the cubs. Well like they say….you can’t win em all.
Colorado Husker and The San Diego Kid in the house…..sweet! If those 2 aren’t the recipe for a 9th inning comeback then nothing is. Gentlemen….bring this W home!

Ball doesn’t seem to be carrying much tonight……but then with the way we’re hitting tonight, Hurricane Katrina whipping out to dead left still doesn’t result in a Redbird homer….I don’t think we’ve hit a ball within 20 feet of the track tonight.
Wow! Yelich with 6 hits so far this evening….including the ever elusive cycle. Wish we had him….could you imagine Yelich & Bader patrolling the outfield for us……and don’t you know it…Cards with 2 consecutive balls to the track in right…..Bader’s was caught and Munoz’ wasn’t, hence he’s standing at 2nd with 2 outs. And here comes Aldolis to the dish! Garcia grounds out meekly to short to end it….2-0 Pirates your unhappy final.
