Offense stuck in neutral tonight. Hope they shake that off by tomorrow. Lots of chances to be a hero tonight, but no one stepped up.
Sure were a lot of opportunities, CardsRedSox4Ever. I thought Wisdom was going to be the hero….that first pitch fastball to him was right in his wheelhouse and he just got around way too quickly on it. We were what….0-9 with RISP….you’re not going to walk off the field in jubilation with that stat in your corner very often.
Sometime, you just go cold. Williams hadn’t pitched well against the Cards and exorcised a few demons. Hate to lose the Mikolas game but he pitched well enough to win.
we had 2 free runs in the first that we couldnt sac fly in and we lost 2-0 with a depleted offense
about as solid a loss as you can have…pen was good again…including Cecil and Mikolas was good, even working out of the 1st was impressive
cant win em all…and if you have to lose them, last night isnt the worst way to lose…though i hate giving away free runs like we did in the 1st…
