NJ315 it should have be E5 if was Carpenter that didn’t get the ball there. That said, Martinez should have indeed caught it.
Six straight strikeouts by Cards batters to end the 7th and 8th innings. That included the 1 through 5 hitters. Heard a few boos from the few in attendance. Not a pretty look tonight.
Its time to reshuffle the lineup. Carp has more strikeouts than hits (so much for his spring training quotes). He actually has twice as many K’s has Hits and is killing the offense.

Pham
Ozuna
Martinez
Fowler
Molina
DeJong

Yeah I know he emptied the bench because he’s Matheny and the team insist on using an 8-man bullpen which tends to come back and bite them in the ass.
TC agree, we needed a bigger bat when he hit but by golly we have 8 relievers and we just put in a guy who has not pitched yet in a big spot.
Looks like Holland needed at least another game. He looked bad in his 2nd game and I even made the comment he probably should get another game. I don’t know if I should be pissed off at this team’s incompetence or if I should just laugh. Geezus cripes!
Anybody really still think this team is a contender?
My prediction of 82 wins might be way too high.
